You are misguided. First, he is not the Christian right's favorite pastor. There is no such thing as an earthly "favorite pastor" for the collective body of the Church. Our favorite pastor is Jesuschrist.
Many Christians do not agree with his "prosperity message", nor do they consider him to have sound doctrine.
