I don't think I am able to get past those grim reaper ads on tv when hiv first got discovered. It made an impact on me for sure. Maybe that's the problem. The media put the fear into people and now there is a stigma attached to living with hiv. I don't think I could live with diabetes though. It sounds like a nightmare and I have a fear of needles so I wouldn't like the constant injecting. I like nice hands and feet and wouldn't want purple puffed ugly feet and hands. Then there's all the other crap like possibly going blind, losing limbs. It sounds scarey to be honest.
