I remember back in the 80s, they used to put lift kits on those small Toyota trucks (the ones that would rust out), and Mazda trucks, and the Chevy S10s and Ford Rangers-----many of these trucks barely had enough hp to get out of their own way...it was purely for the look.
You go down south, you can still find those very same trucks.

Or removal of the stock rear bumper and putting chrome bumpers on the truck---and it's seeing the same small truck with lift kits and a tow hook.

I have a neighbor with a Mercury Marquis and those big ass rims, I just smh and keep it moving.

Point is lifting your truck is, in theory, done to increase ground clearance.  There is a reason for  it. There is no point to putting stupidly giant rims on a street car other than "look at me".

Also many will put lift kits on cars and trucks that have 4 or 6 cylinders and not the power that you think.

Also will do the fast and furious look and will rebadge a car to be a higher model

Latinos: Fast and Furious oversized kits on everything, will leave the wheels stock. Will put chrome portholes everywhere, paint the car in orange, green, or some bright ass color. Also have a love for Honda Civics, and put cheap scoops on the hood. Also, put jewelled rear lights on anything.

Asian dudes: Fast and Furious/ Transformer look. Wings and front end look like they came right out of Robotech or Gundam Wing.

Mostly Latinos from Central America dig those colors  that's exactly what I dont like on a pimped ride'and Im a Latino lad.
