Virtually everyone is going to need healthcare at some point.
If that person doesn't have insurance, and shows up at a hospital, that cost is transferred to the taxpayer. This is also known as a 'freeloader'.
It seems quite ironic that 'conservatives' support the idea of a freeloader, but that's one of the paradoxes in modern Republican politics.
Actually, Newt Gingrich himself supports Obamacare in this respect, although no one is honest enough to mention it.
The only argument you could truly make, and hold true to your conservative philosophy, is either to stop the freeloader by making him get insurance or by denying him care altogether. The latter is a tough sell in 21st century America, and the rest of the world.
Republicans, at this point, are essentially pro-freeloader.
