It would appear that Biden lost last night simply because the narrative today is "Biden's a jerk".  The Democrats aren't talking about anything substantive from last night's debate...they're apologizing for Biden's drunk uncle act.  That's a sure sign that the polling they're seeing shows that Biden's behaovoir was viewed negatively.

Obama/Biden are toast not just because they're policies are idiotic, incoherent and proven to be ineffective...they're toast because they don't have an ear for what the voting public views as important and they don't have an understanding of what America expects to see from its leadership.

Biden lied his fucking ass off on Lybia.  Do you not care about that?

I said it after debate #1, where mitt had some positions which were completely opposite of what he said in primaries - but were popular positions.

it's OKAY, it is normal, it is expceted for candidates to lie in debates.  I wasn't mad at romney for shifting in the debate- if a voter is so stupid and low info that he/she will choose a candidate without learning policies of these candidates, well, they deserve to be duped.

Biden told some tall tales.  Romney certainly did too.  Obama too.  It's what they do.  I wasn't mad when romney did, i'm glad he did.

I think its even better to blame it on a Youtube video and the protests.  What that does is, put guilt on the entire religion and all of the morons rather than single out individuals.

This is a better way for the world to see how loony Muslims really are.  Blaming a few individuals only marginalizes the real problem which is radical Islam.

So yes, let that stupid fucking religion take all the blame and let the protesters take the blame.  Lets not reduce it to just a few people.

Which is exactly what the Dems have done!   Angry

Joe Biden interrupted Paul Ryan 82 times in 90 minutes. The Democrats have become the rude party
 Telegraph - UK ^ | October 12, 2012 | Tim Stanley

Posted on Friday, October 12, 2012 3:38:04 PM

No oneís denying that Joe Biden delivered the more energetic performance in Thursdayís vice presidential debate. He interrupted Paul Ryan 82 times in 90 minutes. Yet some polls say that Ryan won and many pundits are calling it a draw. How come?

Two reasons. First, deconstruct the Biden bluster and some of what he said was nonsensical. In the first 10 minutes alone, Joe insisted that the US intelligence community was wrong on Libya but trustworthy on Iran. He claimed that the staff at the Benghazi embassy didnít want extra security when lots of sources say that they begged for it. He seemed to rule out war with Iran under any circumstances, which would remove Americaís one bargaining chip. As political klutzes go, Biden is to talking what Gerald Ford was to walking.

More importantly, Biden was rude. Perhaps he was trying to emulate Romneyís dominant performance from the week before. But where Romney was commanding, Biden was just insulting. The most damning moments came when the camera went split screen. On the right was Ryan trying to make a serious point about world peace. On the left was Biden laughing. The Vice Presidentís performance will doubtless rally the party faithful and give them a few applause lines to live off through to November. But itís hard to imagine independents warming to these theatrics.

The Democrats have made the classic mistake of thinking that what they want to see is what everyone else wants to see. This isnít peculiar to the Obama/Biden ticket but part of a long-term evolution. Back in 2000, Al Gore huffed and puffed his way angrily through a presidential debate and possibly cost his party the election. The Democrats ought to have learned from that, but .....

Conquer?  Give me a fucking break...this is a country with elections.  Elections are driven by ideas, not obnoxious old men making  fools of themselves in front of millions of people.....unless, that's the only idea they have to work with.

Tell that to Ryan, whom the viewers in those aforementioned polls said won the debate (unless you have some more recent data, to the contrary).

biden is a walking joke.  ryan is one of the most respected people in the GOP.   The fact it wasn't a blowout is shocking to me.

Biden controlled it.  Yes, he was obnoxious.  yes, he told lies.  But Ryan didn't control that room - you can't deny that.

Romney controlled that room during his debate.  Biden controlled the room during his.

Biden is one of the most respected politicians in Washington, especially among those in Capitol Hill.  He has been a Senator since the legal age and has worked with everyone and knows everyone.  He is also considered among the best by both Republicans and Democrats when it comes to Foreign Relations as he was Chairman for years.

The mis-characterization of Joe Biden is rather new and is a popular myth among the lunatic fringe.  He is well respected among everyone in the Beltway and has earned his credentials.

i see him as a bit of a caring psycopath.   Like, I honestly believe he cares about people.  But I also believe he's insane, egomaniac, who lives on power and just revels in the attention he gets.

He did manhandle Ryan.  He was rude, crass, immature.  But he ran that motherfvcker.  Ryan showed he's a staesman, but he's no veep attack dog like Palin or cheney.

Far from the truth.  You do realize that he was one of the most respected Senators in Capitol Hill among both parties.

He`s not like that at all.  Its a myth that only lunatic morons believe.  He is friends with all these Republicans.  He may disagree with them, but they really do like him and he actually does attempt to work with them and his record is pretty stellar in that respect.

Nope.  Its insane to think that one of the most respected Senators, who has been a Senator since age 30 and has worked with every single Presidential Administration since Richard Nixon with a stellar record to boot is to be considered a national joke.

Seriously, nobody in government, those who know him personally and have worked side by side with him, Republican and Democrat, would ever say that about him.  Its hilarious to hear the lunatic fringe narrative of Biden take hold.  I guess the more base the myth, the easier it is for gullible people to believe.

Biden wasn`t born yesterday and his candor is something we need more of.

I would hope a president ryan wouldn't let world leaders control the dialogue like Biden was allowed to do.

I think we saw the difference last night - between romney and ryan.   Romney actually has a huge set of brass balls.  But the Paul Ryan we'll see in 10 years will seriously mop the floor with 2012 Paul Ryan.  He was timid.  Dick morris and other GOP stalwarts agreed.

It takes ass whoopings like this - being manhandled and controlled - to really grow out of his shell.  Paul ryan damn sure will be stronger at the next debate, in 2016 for VP again, or for 2016 GOP race.  He'll be a tough MFer then.  He's not one now.

Its not in him to be tough.  He is a smarmy Layne Norton type.  The DNA is just not there to be an alpha.

ryan tried to weasel out by citing EAST afghanistan.  You could see Biden's eyes light up.  He KNEW Ryan had just blown it.  And ryan's face went white, he knew it too.  He kept making that uncomfortable smirk trying to defend a position he quickly realized he was wrong on.  But he can't say "my bad, you're right on that one", because well, you can't say that.

We do have more afghans fighting in the worst areas, the way it SHOULD be.  The awkward silence for 2 seconds after biden gets done schooling him - where it was ryan's turn to respond, and he just chose to smile and swallow... yeah, he got schooled there.

That was to be expected, youre right tbombz.  No foreign policy experience on that ticket.
