19-year-old Commits Suicide on live webcam egged on by bodybuilding.com users

I know this is old, but I just stumbled across it!

In a striking display of the power of live video, Abraham K. Biggs committed suicide on Wednesday while broadcasting himself on video site Justin.tv. As we understand it from various forum posts, the 19-year-old Floridian was apparently egged on by commenters on Justin.tv and fellow forum users on bodybuilding.com. Biggs overdosed on pills while on camera and appeared to be breathing for hours until watchers realized he might be serious, at which point they alerted the police. The video kept running until police and EMTs broke Biggs’ door down and blocked the camera’s view.

We confirmed Biggs’ death with the Broward County medical examiner. The Justin.tv video and many of the forum posts have been taken down.

I was on BB.com at the time.  CandyJunkie had done this "I wanna die" shit 5 or 6 times already so none of us really give it much thought.  I'm not going to re post what I said to him but it was to the point of "Stop being an attention whore".  I went to bed after midnight and when I got back up, I found that he actually killed himself this time.....P.I.P.

He was always putting up those OD threads and then say he was kidding and everyone was fucking sick and tired of his goofy shit.  When he posted that he took 40 bars of Xanax, I thought it was just another one of his joke threads so I once again chewed him out for it.  If I actually knew that he was serious, I would have called the police myself....not that it really would have made a difference.  He had way too much shit in his system and was a dead man already

We didn't bully him....only thing we did was yelled at him for putting up those fake suicide threads, we told him to seek some mental health.  He did that shit a lot....believe me so when he did it that night, there was no reason to think that he was serious.  He was breathing when I went to bed and when I got back up I found out that he may had OD'ed as he had not moved one bit.

But honestly, it was a big mess and while there's some fault to go around...its was his decision to go kill himself.  No one forced him to take all of those fucking pills and if I even had a slight indication that he wasn't bullshitting, then I would have made the call myself to the cops.
