Not enough of your angry white buddies left, McWay. The demographics are only going to get worse for Republicans.

There are enough angry white people left congregating in certain states to make it very difficult for Obama to get anything really progressive passed, particularly in the House.  Texas and Arizona may flip in the future when demographics change but the process of change is going to be much slower in states like Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and a few other deeply conservative states.

People are getting ahead of themselves with all this self congratulatory behavior.   Lets see what happens during the mid-term elections.

white people, especially the men are going to have some tough times ahead due to the changing demos.....they are going to have to psychologically cope with being a monority and having less and less influence and less control over the direction of the country...they will stil have some control over the economy since they will consolidate their wealth

Romney didn't connect as well and many of the GOP base stayed home.

Plus, Romney (perhaps under the advise of the establishment Republican crew) failed to use the one thing that connects to those other racial demographics: FAITH-BASED ISSUES.

For all the criticism on Bush, let's face it. He's the last guy to win a presidential race for the GOP. He even got 40% of the Latino vote, up from 31% in 2000 (not much better than what Romney did).

The GOP establishment likes to avoid social issues like the plague, forgetting that the "value voters" were credited (by the right) and blamed (by the left) for Bush's re-election.

In many ways, this election was like the reverse of the 2004 election, as Democrats were in every bit of disbelief that Bush got re-elected as we are that Obama got re-elected.

That's why I said earlier, the talk from the conservatives and Tea Party folks will be that this listening to the establishment, putting moderates up to get beat down, is DONE.

The Dems didn't go to the center; they went to the left. The GOP doesn't need to go to the center; it needs to go to the right.

The church is the one venue that can bridge demographics and Romney didn't use it (or, at least, didn't use it effectively enough).

WRONG.

The GOP base came out in HERDS.

Why is it that you guys are unable to realize that your social stances are the problems... Sheesh.

Talk to me again about what happened with the GOP base?

Read and realize...

http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/09/opinion/carville-buckwalter-poza-election/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

"Mitt Romney outperformed Sen. John McCain, the 2008 GOP presidential candidate, by 5 points with both white voters overall (59%) and white men (62%). He also bested McCain's margin among Republicans, winning 93% of self-identified Republicans as compared to McCain's 90%, and white evangelical voters, 79% compared with McCain's 73%. Romney lost by relying on a tapped-out, ever-shrinking group of voters."

Get back to shit that matters and stop trying to push your religious beliefs on people and you will be able to get something done.
