A) Both Romney and Netanyahu are business partners and worked in the same company before
B) Romney would have support Netanyahu with anything and everything were Netanyahu knows that he will have a much harder time with Obama now.

in the past few month Obama had to take all the shit from Netanyahu because he needs to keep the American Jewish lobby happy before election, now in his last 4 years what has he to loose?
I guarantee you Obama will settle some scores with Israel now, the chance that Obama will drag the US into another war with Iran are zero to none, so this is going to get very interesting indeed.

Netanyahu has to act at some stage, Israel can not afford an atomic Iran and a lot of people don't understand why. The reasons are not that 1 nuke can wipe out Israel they have nothing to fear from Iran since they know that Iran is not suicidal, Iran knows that if they ever nuke Israel they get wipped of this planet - even the remote chance that Iran is giving terrorists an abomb its very unlikely they do that since the makeup of the actual bomb plus the uranium etc can all be traced back to Iran.

No the reasons for Israel not being able to afford an atomic Iran is much simpler and can be described in 2 simple words.

Same happened when the russians invaded Georgia, Europe US and Russia had an unspoken agreement, Russia can pretend to be a military world power but is not allowed to act, all of a sudden they do act and all the cards are off the table and anything can happen, its makes people very nervous, are they going to move further, will they attack Nato troops next? A lot of uncertainty.

Same with an nuclear iran, it changes the power balance in the region, Israel is not the only country that has atomic weapons, were do you go next? How to you handle that, how do you negotiate?

Its sometimes hard to imagine things in the future - can you imagine the middle east to be oasis of the world? and Europe and America to be poor house of this planet?
You probably can not....

But then I remember clearly a time when I though there is no fucking way in hell that the IRA will stand down that there will be peace in n.Ireland - but look at it now, a war that has gone on for 100 of years and its peace now.

The same can happen anywhere - BUT ONLY if meaningful negotiations happen.

And in regards to N.Ireland that credit goes to the brits, they actually started to REALLY talk to the IRA - and not just to satisfy a political agenda but to actualy seek peace, and it was painful for them but the outcome can not be disputed.

If Israel would step over their own shadow and seriously reach out to the Palestinians and the rest of the world - This place would be heaven.
