Yes I agree, you never know when 6 black guys could be hanging around on it using their iphones and giving menacing stares. My gym time has felt much safer since I started doing squats only

Did it for a double about two months ago at the end of flat bench just to see what it felt like. I usually don't go over 245-275 for reps now depending on the type of training.

Thats a commendable and strong lift! I find that I am much better at lower rep ranges than I am at 10. I still do that high of reps, but the lactic acid builds up around rep 8 making the last 2 especially difficult when I go heavy. I have a 10 rep range day where all reps are 10, then I have a 5,5,5,2 day and then a 10,8,6,4,3,2 day. The 10 rep day is by far the most difficult. I`d like to get my bench numbers up.

have you considered the german model for strength training 10 x 10 at 50 percent of your one max rep how ever long it takes eg 7 reps then pause then the final three it works

I have been doing very well with high reps since I started back. I do a good warmup set at about 18-20, then a 16,14, and shoot for 12... The 265 is just beyond 12 for me... I can do 245 at 12 it seems with no problem, but add that 20 pounds and it's over. 10 is the max. 6 sets is just insane for one exercise. You are strong like bull.

I did quads, chest, calves and abs today. I'm dieting at the moment so I tend to do more high rep sets which I like a lot. 15x265 I did on the bench. It sure is whole different story to bench reps with two plates than three( if one is natural ) Adonis buddy. Have you had success on the bench recently?

I also want to give your workout a try. I`d like to get up 245 for 12 with my Marfan Syndrome long arms. How many sets/reps total for chest day?

I put up 315 for several recently. As I've learned it's good practice to do many reps when warming up.

My "warmup" is usually one set of 135 for like 8, not really doing anything. I am aware that is probably not enough, but I have never warmed up in my life. I probably should start doing that.

yeah its that simple its an old powerlifters programme its harder than it looks but if you stick it for 6 weeks your one rep bench will go up considerably
