I would agree this is a pretty good list. And your addition is spot on. The Thing is an underrated horror film and one of my favorites. I would also add the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. |

I thought it was NBC that had remade it. Never saw the original, but I read the book! Also, 28 Days later! I'm a pussy when it comes to scary movies! |

hard to beat Evil Dead 1 and 2.
Army of Darkness is the third in the trilogy and is awesome, but its more of an action mythical comedy, not really a horror.
Creepshow is awesome too.

Creepshow 2 - 3 mini-movies. Campy, funny, and scary
House on Haunted Hill - yes, the remake
Demons 1 and 2 - great Italian horror.......more of a zombie flick

Saw Evil Dead 2 on the big screen last night, and Creepshow at the same theatre a year or so ago. |

House of 1000 Corpses was stellar. I've seen so many over the years, it's difficult to remember the best flicks. Friday The 13th 4: Final Chapter, High Tension was cool. The Human Centipede for it's awfulness. The Exorcist of course, Sleepaway Camp, Mother's Day (1980), CHUD are a few that haven't been mentioned.
