Dan Hill has retired from BB and is now training for his MMA fight next year in LV, Nevada. We all know he can throw a punch according to his girl friend.

Dear friends and followers, After a great IFBB Nordic Pro Show in September and 5 years in the professional Bodybuilding scene, I would like to announce that I am currently starting a new journey in the fighting world. I am preparing for my first MMA fights in the beginning of 2013 and I would like to thank all my supporters and sponsors of the past, who enabled me to live the life of my choice now. Bodybuilding opened the doors to America, made me find partners in business and private life and last but not least was leading me to fabulous Las Vegas and my current home, where i am blessed to be part of a PRO MMA Training camp with outstanding coaches and athletes. I am looking forward to introduce you to my new world and journey from Pro Bodybuilder to Ultimate Fighter.
Dan Hill — with Julianna Daniella and 51 others.

I predict that as MMA fighter Dan Hill is going to suck even more that as bodybuilder. You must be really insecure about yourself to start a career as a MMA fighter at 25 years old when you do not have any experience in fighting sport. This is what happen at peoples who are so insecure about themself and have to show the world that they are tough !!!

Sounds like he figured out that he had shitty genetics for BB and is trying something else. At least he's not delusional enough to think that he's going to be Mr. O.

Hahaha - too good to be true. Now his physique seems more appropriate + I'm pretty curious about how he pulls this one off... maybe he has talent, maybe it will be a joke of a lifetime.

HAHA, hope sum' monsta brakes him in half in his first match He should just give up anything involving any level of physical activity. Dude is not created for this. He could be good in knitting or something though.

Maybe he enjoys defeat, and realised he had to search for it elsewhere?

Does Dan think that the schmoe following will be as good in MMA as he had in bodybuilding?

To be successful in mma you got to have some kind of base these guys have being wrestling and doing bjj since they where kids, if he thinks he can start learning mma at his old age he is going to be in for a shock when he enters the ring, or maybe he is just going to find losers with no training like himself then he might have a shot.

The thing is, Big Down is a type of person who never really was good in anything he did - and he won't ever be.
This is inbuilt. Sooner you accept it, the better.

What is it with everyone and bodybuilders especially wanting to fight/go into mma these days? I can't imagine anyone actually likes taking a beating. Is their insecurity that great, they feel the need to go into fighting to give everyone the impression they are tough guys

90% of bodybuilders are consumed with how they appear to others on a daily basis. You can see how that would branch out to other insecurities, i.e. how tough they are perceived to be, how rich they are perceived to be etc.
Most of the competing BB's I know have some form of this severe insecurity - drive cars they can't afford, wear watches they have on a payment plan, and now go to MMA classes
