I want to say that I read somewhere this scene went way off script and ended up being more improvisation. Also, there is so much about Training Day that makes that movie. Ethan Hawke did great but was so overly shadowed by Denzel it was ridiculous. Just the way he was saying "Jake" has such contempt to it. |
