Blood pressure
« on: December 06, 2012, 03:52:06 PM »
Okay so... im already on an ai... already doing cardio, using xpel (otc dieuretic -- not harmful like lasix n crazy insane stuff like that its herbal blend it works but works mildly as best as something natural can).

I've bumped up my var and although i feel great while going heavy BP is a serious issue...

I am already taking hawthorn berry... damn i need some other suggestions.

10 mg Linatil ed (enalapril maleate) it's a safe and effective medication for high blood pressure. I use to take it for years, then about a 18 months ago it fixed it self when i didn't have to stress the way i used to. BP is a VERY serious issue so take it very seriously, it's easy to keep under control but when the damage has been done it's too late. Even Dan Duchaine praised enalapril maleate since it's cheap, effective, safe and even offers some bodybuilding benefits because it works by relaxing the blood vessels.

PS. I think that Universal Nutrition's arbuterol is more effective than X-pel...

Thanks for the info on universal nutrition's arbuterol. I have only tried xpel but since it worked i kept using it. I guess I'll have to give it a try. Never tried any 'real' diuretics as i am not competing heh and that'd be plain dangerous.

Is this enalapril maleate over the counter?

How about viagra and cialis? I have some lol...

Creatine nitrate? The two together = bad combo? The first time i used var was also when i used c-bol (creatine nitrate) boy did i have EXPLOSIVE painful pumps... cant remember if i had bp issues that time :-/

Nitrates if im not mistaken are used in like blood pressure lowering medications or something?

Enalapril maleate is an Rx ace-inhibitor, good & safe med.
Don't use viagra with it, cialis is ok, but not at the same time...

Creatine and diuretics isn't a good idea, it might look good on paper, but it's not in real life. Stay away from nitrates as well, unless your doc Rx's them to you for serious heart issues.

I don't think I want to go to my doc to prescribe me that lol he knows my family and he'll rat out next time that i have blood pressure and family drama ensues.

Normally even on high doses of androgens i get BP under control but the current inclusion of var has caused me issues... using xpel, cardio and hawthorn berry was enough to not have any BP issues even with tren/equi but the var is magical in its own right.

I do have viagra right now.. i can get cialis... so pre workout viagra should lower bp right?

I'd have to ask some sources for enalapril maleate then... dont wana go doc for prescription. I wish my doc was a BBer, would make things alot easier haha... lucky the guys who have such docs :-/

Losartan

what dosages? I read http://www.medicinenet.com/losartan/article.htm

Also seems to be very dangerous with dieuretics. Even my otc which has potassium seems like a dangerous idea. Would appreciate your input.

5-10mg enalapril maleate seems the way to go ed. There is even an equivalent for dogs/cats, lmao but even that requires Rx. Boo... If only I had a pro-BB doctor :D

well im upping my hawthorny bery dose. I also heard celery seed is good for this. Garlic. So I may get some of that celery seed and garlic extract pills on top of the heightened hawthorn berry... hopefully works.

They'll end up costing as much (or more) and might help marginally, if even that. No doctor will have a problem with a patient who's actually interested in their own well being. Most people don't give a shit about PB until they get a stroke or something like that.

Well yesterday took maybe 3g of hawthorn barry, no preworkout (no caffeine), xpel full dose (4 pill morning, 4 pill afternoon) and i had like no bp issues, my face did go tiny bit red on heavier lifts but i didnt feel like blowing up... however i had NO pumps, no veins and joints were murdered.. shitty workout.

Gotta find balance...

What are your BP levels like? (in the morning, after working out, at night and at complete rest? Keep a log for a few days and show it to which ever doctor you will (hopefully) visit, also post them here or PM me.

"Going by feel" isn't smart, at all. When i "felt" my bp it was already sky high. I took meds for years, then got rid of a stressful job and now my bp is ideal without meds.

Get yourself a BP-monitor ASAP, (one with a big enough cuff) i'd recommend Omron M6 comfort, get that it's awesome. BP-monitor is the wrong place to try and save money.

50 mg daily for me. It's supposed to be easy on the kidneys as compared to some other bp meds. No knowledge on its interaction with diuretics. Get your bp under control, long term elevated bp is deadly.

i just may have a buddy who can hook me up with some lisinopril! Can't get right away but there's hope :D Aah if I was in africa or middle-east I'd just hop over to the pharmacy and get otc lol. If only pharmacies were as liberal here :D

Ideally have to come up with a plan on how to get the doc to prescribe me... my workouts would be that much easier. Sometimes I take longer breaks simply for heart to relax before I hit next set... not healthy I know...

If you have elevated bp there is no reason a doctor wouldn't prescribe it. Lisinopril made me cough when I laid down to go to sleep at night after taking it. Its a common side.

Upping the hawth dose has always worked for me as long as I was taking some kind of AI. If you do not have/use hawthorn berrry EXTRACT i recommend you do difference between that and the actual "berry" is significant.

Is this the 'extract' or the 'berry' by itself...

https://www.smartpowders.com/p-6669-hawthorn-berry-550-mg-100-caps.aspx

^^ that would be the berry itself. here is what the NOW brand Hawthorn Extract looks like: http://www.amazon.com/Now-Foods-Hawthorn-Extractract-Veg-capsules/dp/B001395MNC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1355368986&sr=8-1&keywords=hawthorn+extract

There's this too this one mentions extract.. hard to tell though:

https://www.smartpowders.com/p-6663-hawthorn-extract-300-mg-90-vcapsampreg.aspx

^^ that's what you'd want. whether im buying from NOW or some other brand like natures way, etc, they are usually good about putting "extract" on the bottle somewhere easily visible to distinguish.

I'm also considering getting:

https://www.smartpowders.com/p-6615-celery-circulation-60-vcapsampreg.aspx

https://www.smartpowders.com/p-6049-garlic-super-odorless-180-caps.aspx

https://www.smartpowders.com/p-6425-grape-seed-100-mg-200-vcaps174.aspx

These are suppose to help with BP and cholesterol right?

Celery seed is suppose to help, not sure about grape seed and garlic though, although the health benefits they possess is good enough for me to take them if I had the extra money.  :(

my number one supps for BP are letro, arimidex, dandelion root extract, hawthorn berry extract. stay on top of these supps and everytime i go in for bp its beautiful. recently had my bp checked and was on test and dbol and it was 120/60

or eat absolutely clean at all times.

This and cardio made the biggest difference for me. My BP used to be 160/85 consistantly when i was weighing in the 250's and eating anything i wanted with no cardio. Now i'm using similar AAS doses, but i'm at 130/40 due to eating clean and doing cardio while weighing in the 220's.

Thanks for the advice fellas well i just got paid todya and ordered hawthorn extract 300mg per pill! Will run 1200mg per day and im sure it will kick ass. hawthorn berry by itself was helping really... but i guess its not ideal.

I think the yohimbine hcl with cardio in the morning is what bloats me the hell out and contributes to the rise in bp.. i do piss all day but from what i read yohimbine bloat doesnt go away until like two weeks from stopping.

I seem to have stabilized some what though :)
