youre right about this.

Brady is very very good.   However, Cassel did kick ass when he was out.  And Cassel sucked in KC.

On the other hand, Peyton manning single-handedly made Colts good.  With him, they were super bowl contender.  Without, a 2 win season.

IF IF IF the Pats were a 2 win team without Brady that year, and the Colts went 11-5 with Kerry Collins last years, we'd all be declaring Manning worthless, and Brady a superhero.

Everyone always say Brady is a systems QB  ::) got news for these people EVERYONE IS A SYSTEMS QB, you gotta have the right coaches, system to work with your strengths and weaknesses , Brady was lucky that he had belichick on his side. Cassell wasn't a bad QB at all, He did lead them to the playoffs if I remember his first year or at least a pretty good record, KC now just sucks PERIOD!!

He's really good but I consider him a system QB.  He got injured and missed a year the Pats went 11-5.  Peyton Manning got injured and missed a year and the Colts lost almost every single game that season.

Anthony Munoz

Was Munoz better on offense than LT or Reggie White were on defense?

Or is it Jim Brown because he probably could have played any position?

Is it the fact that it's true that bothers you or just that I pointed it out?  The Pats didn't miss a beat when Brady was out and they went 11-5.  That's an inconvenient truth to Brady fans.

I'm a casual watcher of the NFL, and I watch college football on occasion. I know all Getbaggers are former NFLers who run 4.1 and benched 800 at the combine. So I was wondering if you bastions of football knowledge agree or disagree that Tom Brady might be the greatest NFL player ever.

What does Getbig think?

No....not even close

most of us had an undocumented, self-diagnosed injury before 9th grade, which explains why our insane speed & strength feats never made the pages of pro scouting magazines.

Switch peyton manning and brady a decade ago.

Patriots would have 5 rings.   Brady/colts would have none.

Pats were still good without brady.   Colts were 2-14 without manning.

Colts tanked the season to get the first pick. They used Manning as the scapegoat to do this.  Manning doesn't have ice in his veins. He's actually a pretty bad playoff quarterback. I'd take his brother Eli in the playoffs everyday of the week over Peyton. When Eli is all said and done, he may have 4 or 5 rings. Peyton will probably only have one. And there's no way that Belichik would have Peyton as his QB. Bill B runs everything. And Peyton runs his own offence. Those two ego's never would have been able to win one Superbowl together.

Peyton Manning will go down as the best regular season QB of all time. But the guy is a choke artist in the playoffs.

I don't know about that... The NFL is a wild ride.

IF that is the case though... The Giants WILL win.

Tom Coughlin has Bellichek's number and on the big stage, the Giants are always poised and confident... They will own New England again.

John Elway is the best QB in NFL history.  No other qb did more with less.

Put Elway on the 1980's Joe Montana teams and they still win Super Bowls.  Put Montana on Elway's 80's SuperBowl teams and Montana winds up in a wheel chair.

Elway could play in any era.

Hahaha... Ridiculous... He didn't do shit until he had a running back... Montana had years with no running game and he just got with Rice for over 200 yards in a superbowl so... Uh... No.

There's a different feel to this Patriots team. The defense is a lot better than the numbers suggest. And the offense is the best in the league. I do believe that the only team who could beat the Pats in a Superbowl would be the Giants. Any other NFC team will fold to the pressure.

That just makes you sound stupid.....or ignorant, your choice.

Montana had Roger Craig-the first 1000 yard rusher and 1000 yard receiving running back in history.

Elway had Sammy Winder.

Montana had a pro bowl tight end, a pro bowl wr, and a hall of fame wide receiver and numerous pro bowl lineman.

Elway had-the 3 amigos.  They would have been Montana's 6th option had they played for SF.  He didn't have a pro bowl lineman untill well in the 90's.

Fact is-Elway single handedly took 3 teams to the SB that had no business being there.  His last two, we all saw the results.

Montana was the best ever. It's impossible to watch film on him and not come away thinking he's the best.

Elite Quarterbacks create Pro bowlers. No doubt Elway was a freak of nature. And top 5 QB of all time imop. But Montana is a step above everyone who played the game. The only one who comes close to Montana is Brady.

It's not a "fact" just bc u say so. Brady just happens to have belichick as a coach, I repeat EVERY QB is a systems QB regardless. That's why coaches build teams around them but not everyone is a belichick or Brady which might go down as the best combo QB/coach of all time.

Cassell isn't that bad , people keep sayin "it's the system" well belichick finds guys specifically fits what he builds in which case every good coach and team should follow not just drafting the number 1 overall guy or best prospect.

Btw u can argue the pats won championships with a bunch of nobodies bet no one can even name their receivers or running backs

The colts and manning have had all star talents compared to the patriots

Brady might not even be the best QB of his era.  He's had the benefit of one coach and 1 system his whole career.

No... You're the ignorant one... You don't look at the totality of Montana.

No one is arguing against Roger Craig... certainly not me... But for some reason, people forget that Craig was not there in 1981 when Montana won is first Superbowl.

See... in 1981... Montana took a 49ers team lackluster running game and won a superbowl.

Something Elway could NEVER do.

So in short... Montana greatest... Elway... Top 3 or 4.

Let's move on now.

Lol way to back track.  Funny how you all of the sudden forgot about the 9 or 10 pro bowlers surrounding Montana.
