Was watching TV yesterday and they were talking about how some students who were hiding in a closet, ran out past the gunman and were shot as they were trying to escape. They were calling the first kid who got shot while escaping a "hero" because he was "leading others to safety". Well, if safety is getting shot in the back as you flee, then whatever. Another one. Principal and Psychologist hear gunfire and step out of the class into the hallway and are shot. But they are called "heroes" for confronting the gunman. Um.. No. You're not a hero because you hear gunfire and walk out the door and get shot on the spot. That's not "confronting" the gunman, and that certainly doesn't make you a hero. It makes you a casualty.

Getting shot does not make you a hero, it just makes you a victim.
the kid that ran out the closet and was shot was not a hero either, more like a scared kid (which is understandable) but no need to call the slain kid "hero trying to lead the kids to safety"
The Principal was not a hero, she stepped out, i doubt to confront the gunman, only cause she heard loud noises, gunman saw her and shot her, no hero.
media said someone put the intercom on so the school could hear the shooting, another lie.
RIP to them all though, there not heros but what a sad day that was.
