sheet, Hollywood's violent movies can be one of the reasons why many countries (who'd want us to fall) haven't made sure we kick the bucket. Damn near everybody (men) like Stallone's, Arnold's, and other actors movies---in many parts of the world, violence is part of life.
And you know what happens in American culture, once we curb stuff, it either goes to the cornball "My Little Pony" way, or to the reality show way---due to greedy execs wanting to make fast cash, and a turn a profit.
Good plots and writing, that's a British trait.
Violent Video games, who do you think buys them for their (many times fat ass, mentally unstable, and socially inept) kids? The parents!
Too many liberals are quick to use the "personal responsibility" argument, when you go after their favorite form of entertainment, which might contribute to someone doing what Lanza did.
But, they don't do that with guns. They think that the instruments MUST BE BANNED (or heavily restricted).
They hide behind the first amendment, to protect their sacred cows, all the while they go after the second amendment.
as you have said in the past. there is usually more to the story when one ghetto thug shoots another, drugs, money whatever. he probably had it coming.
when a madman kills 20 little kids in the first grade, there is no "more to the story" except why the fuck would someone do that.
Oh, there's is more to the story:
- Kids pick on him for having big ears in school.
- His mama didn't give him enough gummy bears, when he was little.
- He couldn't get a date for the prom.
