No one ever taught me how to use a credit card life was good for a while go out for dinner-charge it order pizza-charge it pay my bills-charge it buy supplements-charge it now my cards are maxed for a total of 4500 dollars in debt
looked into western sky loans-the commercial with the indian girl-for a 5000 loan the apr is 376. 67% and it would cost me 40000 to pay it off
im thinking of taking a personal loan at the bank where we have our mortage-they would directly pay off my cards and i would make 1 monthly payment to the bank the apr would be 11% and my montly payment would be like 120-140-obvioulsy ill pay more than the 140 if i can i also plan on locking away my cards and only using them in emergency and only pay cash for stuff-and start putting money away to save
any advice??
4500 is actually not that bad at all.

Take a week off from work and sit home and eat mushrooms for the first 5 days of the 7 days you take off. Stay in your house and make yourself watch 16 hours a day of the Kardashians, MTV cribs, real housewives of Beverly Hills and Punked. Take days 6 and 7 to recover. If you don't come out of it absolutely hating materialism and everything it stands for, there probably is no hope for you.

http://www.clarkhoward.com/news/clark-howard/personal-finance-credit/paying-credit-card-debt/nFbH/There are several steps you should take to get out of credit card debt. Paying off several thousand dollars or more in credit card debt takes time, so you must discipline yourself. I usually find setting a goal of paying down debt in 60 months or less works best for people. Anything greater than 60 months and people tend to lose their focus. If you have several cards, your first goal is to pay off the card with the highest interest rate. This process is called laddering. Pay more money toward that credit card and slightly less toward the other cards, until the card with highest-interest debt has a zero balance. Then you move onto the next card, and so on and so on. Resist the temptation to close the account when it's at a zero balance. Doing so will only hurt your credit score. One proven way to pay more toward the card with the highest interest rate -- and to get rid of it faster -- is to make a separate payment every 14 days to the credit card company. Mark your calendar every 14 days and write that check or send your online payment that day. Making a payment every 14 days equals one extra month's payment you've made at the end of the year. Work these payments around your statement cycle to avoid paying late fees. For help during the process, contact the National Foundation for Credit Counsling at NFCC.org or call 800-388-2227. No, it isn't. It's only bad when you're late on payment, miss a payment or pay the minimum. Regardless, get out of it asap.

The whole reason people become slaves of credit card companys is the interest. interest is posion to society. for example you can a 1000 loan and end up payin much much more. its a cycle that makes the rich richer and poor poorer. . hence why its banned in all abrahamic religions.
look at mortages, you get a loan for 500,000 to buy a house. interest rate of 3.25 for 30 years. you end up paying almost 800,000. thats $300,000 more them want you even borrowed. its a screwed system. once you get a loan, its like they attach a leach onto you for life.
stay away from loans with interest as much as possible. just keep a tight budget and slowly pay it off, 4500 isnt THAT much. some people have 15000+ in debt.
Great idea! However, the average person cannot afford to pay cash when purchasing a home these days. One of the reasons for this is that many people are brainwashed into believing they need/deserve more house then they can afford. On the plus side, presently mortgage interest rates are at an all time low. If a person buys a house that is modestly priced for their income, they are pretty sure to be fine. Also, a shorter term mortgage generally has the best interest rate and you save a bundle in interest over the course of the loan. $4,500 may not be a very big debt to some, but it can be substantial if you cannot afford to repay it. If you stick with the idea of never leveraging more on a credit card than you can comfortably pay off without accruing interest, generally paying it off monthly, you should be fine. Sometimes stores will offer no interest for a year or so. Be careful though, with these "deals" one can often get a better price if they pay cash instead of extending out the payments. I am not sure how this works with outfits like Home Depot where the merchandise's price is already set, as with carpeting and large appliances.

thats your whole purpose of existing, the banks and govnt. you are merely a farm animal expected to produce.
credit cards, mortgage, insurance ect, they lock you in. the system is predatory in nature, much like the organized crime groups the media portrays as being evil but they operate much the same, the system is no different except they aren't allowed to use violence, just credit and character assassinations to fuck you up.
