Should we ban bath tubs?

Either one wants to save lives or not. Statistically more kids die in bathtubs than from guns. Why would you be against banning tubs? You will save more kids.

BEIJING – A man in northern China has rammed a car loaded with a gas tank and firecrackers into a group of middle school students, injuring 13.

The official Xinhua News Agency says the man attempted to set off an explosion after running down 23 students at Fengning No. 1 Middle School in northern China's Hebei province on Monday. The man is in police custody.

More people die in a 5 day period from gun related incidents than they do a whole year from incidents involving bathtubs, hot tubs and spas combined.   Statistically, you are wrong 99.9% of the time.

suicide rate in the US isn't insanely high but it's weird to see how many suicides are due to such a violent means

MINNEAPOLIS — Three people are accused of killing a man in Minneapolis by jumping on and beating him. The Star Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/YGQzH1) police say that witnesses reported seeing three males taking turns jumping from a retaining wall onto Kerry Duane Scott's chest and abdomen “like a trampoline” on Nov. 17. Officers found Scott bleeding from the head and paramedics pronounced him dead.

The debate is getting a little stupid on both sides but it's not a bad point to say that a person who has set their mind on killing a lot of people can easily find a way to do it even if they don't have access to guns.  Would you feel better if the idiot had drove a truck into the school filled with gasoline and a way to ignite it on impact?  There's a zillion easy ways crazies can sit around and come up with if that's what they're going to do.  Why not look at what makes people do shit like this?  Why is it more important to talk about gun control than it is to talk about what effect the drugs these guys are on has?  There's a lot of shit to talk about here but the left just wants to make it about gun control That's fucked up.
