The rules are pretty clear.  Everyone except Straw Man understands them.  It's too bad he's having such a hard time refraining from personal attacks on the board.  But he can hash this out with Ron.  Moving this to the Questions board.

Not Allowed: "Abusive Ad-Hominem", meaning: No insults, name calling, or personal attacks (personal meaning at other posters) what so ever or Blatant baiting/bagering to get an angry response

Another way to put it(suggested from a poster):  "Personal attacks are not allowed. You can make your points effectively without attacking others posting on here."

Failure to follow this rule will lead to a ban.

That remark is extremely offensive to pussies everywhere.

For quite sometime the posts of some of the most impassioned posters by practice & omission acknowledged that even the family members of public figures were off bounds. The saner posters realized it wasn't their fault who their parent/brother/sister/nephew etc  etc was....  and for the most part steered clear, ...but not 333. He brought his racism into the mix to disrespect the President, the First Lady and her little girls like nothing I've ever seen before.

Personally, I didn't have any problem with baseless personal attacks. But after being warned about them, I feel that others should have the same constraints as me.

If it were up to me, I would go back to the old ways, where we took to the mattresses.

One thing I'd always liked about this site was that it was a free for all.

Others are getting warnings the same as you have so you're not being singled out...  People on the right have already been banned under the new rule and have taken a time out from the board for it.

Just make sure your posts are debating an issue in the thread without baiting for something else and you probably won't have a problem.

IMO, Hugo is an excellent mod, particularly for the Poli-board.

I've seen and appreciate the changes over the last several months and, for the most part, enjoy visiting there again.
