No one says Phil is better 99.9% of people with eyesight can see Ronnie is waaay better.... I've seen Phil in person ... Not that impressive as other pros I've seen and he was in a vest... Look past the arms... In person too the lack of width there is no hiding that....
His onstage conditioning great ... Good muscle shape

No doubt.

Would be good if he could get over it though.

Phil's back looks better balanced (Ronnie's traps dominate too much) because of the way he does the pose.

In anycase, you don't have to be better than a retired bodybuilder to win. You only have to be better than who competes on the same stage with you.

If Ronnie had kept up his 1998 and 1999 form he would probaby still be winning Olympias.

I saw him in person too and like you, I didn't do a double take either.

But that is not an argument for how good or bad his (or any other) physique is.

Phil may be the best BB'er today, but it's ludicrous to say he is the best ever. He can't hang with Coleman or Yates on muscularity, and he can't touch a '93 Flex on symmetry and aesthetics.

Why would I write that if no one is saying that? erics is saying that (pay attention), he is saying that Phil would beat the later verions of Ronnie like the 04 and 05 version where and I quote  `bloated sack`and `garbage``
he used to describe Ronnie`s physique

He has a face that looks very young and the clothes he wears are all loose fitting and of course he has a narrow structure. When you see him with his clothes on, it`s true you are not impressed, but role up you sleeve and his right beside each other and you will feel like you never worked out a day in your life.

Also when he takes of his shirt, it is like WTF how can a human look like that, oh he turns head then alright, it is mind bogglings, his proportion are insane and makes you feel like he is plastic or something that is how freaky he is in real life with his shirt off, so freaky in fact he looks like he is 300lb, unbelievable how much his muscles just hangs off the bone, trust me Heath is a freak of nature to anyone who knows bodybuilding.

That's not what I said so let me clarify.

The current Phil Heath SHOULD beat the latter version of Ronnie because Ronnie BECAME a bloated sack and looked like garbage.

But that doesn't mean he would beat him because for a while now the judges seem to have prefered garbage.

Now, to clarify that statement further let me say this:

Phil Heath has yet to ruin his physique the way Ronnie Coleman did. If he does ruin it, then he will also deserve to be labelled a bloated sack and garbage.

Judges and fans should never reward bodybuilders who, by trying to get bigger and bigger, make themselves look worse and worse.

That is my opinion and the standard that I hold to when 'judging' bodybuilders.

Hope that helps.

OH my bad, so you still agree that the judges would still give the nod to Ronnie in 05 over a prime Heath?

True but although Ronnie did look worse in 04 and 05, he still was the best physique on those days.
