Good link.   I use one of their protein powders, but not the other stuff.

But good info nonetheless.

It's a sustained release protein so while I'm dieting and I have a shake befor bed - I dont wake up craving carbs and its really filling for some reason.

Been low carb for a bit and have little cravings at night.  Don't know it the ump shake before bed is the reason but its definitely better than the past.

The taste is good too.  I mix w ice and its good to go.   I also like original met rx chocolate and perfect nutrition meal Replacement packs.

The label looks very good.
Fats provide satiety for way longer than carbs. They're also much healthier for you overall.

As for Met-Rx, they appear to be using the original Metamyosyn formula (or, very close to it) in the RTD's again. The label indicates that it contains one of the two forms of casein that it did years ago. I bought a couple of boxes recently, and the taste and texture are just like they were when my buddies and I used it the first time back in college; around 2000.

Exactly!
I still remember when they changed the formula after Rexall bought them and cheapened it up. The change was immediately noticealbe.

I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it again for the first time in about ten years.

UMP is awesome if mixed with just a little bit of milk to make a pudding.  That is the best thing to have when you get carb cravings at night.

I sound like a rep for the company (I'm not), but it's just cuz its really IMO the BEST protein out there.

1- most importantly....best protein source BLEND I've seen (calcium caseinate, MPI, WPI, some others i cant remember, expensive sources to produce)

2- it's label value is awesome. Extremely low carbs and fats, while providing good protein numbers

3- best tasting protein I've ever tried. Seriously, cookies and cream=the best

LOL - this might be the only thing you, I and 333 agree on

I've been using Beverly products for about 5 or 6 years now and just ordered a bunch of stuff a couple of days ago to take advantage of the extra 10% off (along with the discount from being a gold club member)

I used to work with Jim, who owned Beverly, years ago.

he moved from San Diego to Maryland to take care of his pops. he started training people at the gym I worked at just to do something. he said he was bored not doing anything and knew the manager.

a real smartass and complained about everything

he said Nasser would always come to his booth and try to get free shit and Jim would say pay or fuck off
