I think men in their 60's, 70's and 80's should be thankful for surviving cancer rather than worry about their shlongs.

Viagra has fucked that generation in the head.

Their junk will never work properly after that kind of surgery so why worry about the size?

Spend your time helping raise your grandkids or something else noble.

I agree. But I'd like to avoid both issues.

Yep, that's the best plan!  Sounds like the third level of hell going through this.

I agree having cancer removed is advisable. I would be dead if I had not had a tumor removed from my throat in 1998.

gym**rat, what were your symptoms?

Anyone feel free to ask anything. I am an advocate for PSA screening and digital exams. Especially if you juice.

My symptoms were a little blood mixed in my cum. Not real noticeable but there. We would see it when I gave my wife a facial or butted on her tits. Several times I looked it up on the Internet and it would only mention a ruptured tube. Only a couple sites mentioned anything about cancer and those said it was extremely rare. Well after 1 1/2 years blood started leaking out of my dick when I pushed hard to shit. That was the tumor pushing against something else. (I can't remember what it pushed against, sorry). I freaked out but then was afraid to go to the doc. But that got worse fast and that was when I went.
The tests to see if the tumor is cancer is pretty rough too. I won't go into it unless someone really wants to know.

I am a over 3 year prostate cancer survivor and the story is true. But to be honest that is the least of your worries with the removal of the prostate. Incontinence  and erectile dysfunction is the two normal side effects. It took over 2 years to completely get over both. I am a rare case to not suffer permanently from one or the other. I am still prescribed Cialis but it is not to get hard, more for duration. I have had 5 major back surgeries and they were nothing compared to this surgery. It will fuck you up for a long time. Like I said, I was lucky. As far as shorter dick, yea it happened but if you have enough to start with you don't sweat it. The other 2 side effects are much more concerning.
Now flame away but I wouldn't wish prostate cancer on anyone. But it was better than the alternative.

Great to hear that you made it through - props!

No problem. First off was the PSA blood test. Mine tested NORMAL. 20% of men with advanced stages of prostate cancer test normal on the PSA blood test. So please do not trust that alone. Next came the digital exam. Not pleasant at all for my virgin ass. He felt the tumor right away. I came back for 2 tests. First was the camera scope through the eye of the penis to check the kidneys, very, very unpleasant. Then they run this big probe, around 1" around into your ass. Needles come out and stick the prostate and administer a deadner into the prostate. Then out of the same probe these little claws come out and pull away samples of your prostate. I had 8 samples removed and every one of them contained cancer. I can tell you that it hurts like hell when that probe goes in, really hurts when those needles stick you multiple times, and it does not deaden it because it was terrible pain each time a sample was pulled away. I remember looking at my wife and she was crying because she could see the pain and the effect these tests were having on me.
Results of the test was my prostate was saturated with cancer. Please take one thing away from this. Do not trust the PSA test alone, get the digital exam. If my urologist wouldn't have done that then I would not be here.

Whenever I see guys in their 50's and 60's using steroids I just shake my head. I guess they take the attitude it's a risk they are willing to take with their prostate. Just like smokers that say they know some 80 year old that smoked their whole life. Increasing the risk doesn't bother them.
