Tiananmen Square protest in favor of 2nd amendment

“To me, a rifle is not for sporting or hunting. It is an instrument of freedom.

It guarantees that I cannot be coerced, that I have free will, that I am a free man.

Now suppose, the 20 milllion Beijing citizens had a couple million rifles on hand in 1989? How many rounds should they have been allowed to load into their magazines? Ten rounds? Seven rounds? How about three rounds?

Do not give up the fight, my friends. It may be a small step that you give up your rifle, or a 30 round magazine.

But it will be a giant leap toward the destruction of this republic.

In closing, I will quote the words of Captain John Parker. “Stand your ground. Do not fire until fired upon. But, if they want a war, let it start here.”

Chinese government used Tanks In that protest, so rifles would have been useless.

If the rifles had turned out to be useful, the Chinese would have carpet bombed the square.

I guess France and Poland and Belgium didn't have rifles and handguns and that's why Germany was able to occupy their countries

Damn, I bet they feel stupid now when all they needed were to get some guns in the hands of their citizens

The resistance wasn't very well armed, yet they actually achieved a lot.

so youre saying they should have just surrendered without any sort of a fight and rolled over b/c they were outmatched?

You've not been to China have you, petal?

You ever even been outside of the US?

Just because the US is constantly overwhelmed by forces with weaker firepower means very little when you talk about a government such as China in the same position.

This is why hooo-rah isn't required in Tibet or anywhere else China decides to take over.

No - I said they would quite happily carpet bomb a square full of armed protesters.

Guerrilla warfare works.

Yes - because the Syrians aren't Chinese and they have to keep one eye on the west.

Chine does not give a fuck what the west thinks and will happily wipe out large groups of people if they feel threatened.

LOL why didnt they think of that in iraq/afghanistan?

civilian casaulties...

you think all the ppl fighting the govt would wear uniforms and march together?

fuking idiot, this would be a guerilla warfare scenario. The govt wouldnt be able to tell friendlies from enemies.

how would they know who to bomb?

I'm saying guns in the hands of civilians are no match for the heavy weapons of the military

did you really not understand that was what I was saying
