N.igga.s History Month as we call it......has the black community made any progress from the past 20yrs?......dwelling on past achievements is good, but future Generation will wonder why Progress has been so slow and statistics show this community need a lot of improvements in today's society......they preach this all the time, but it seems like no one listen..oh well

jesse, al and company hold the idiots hostage, and point to the ones who are doing right as sellouts. You can find racism whereever you look (Like Steve Irwin looking under rocks for snakes), but focusing on problems is hard to do---because we (everybody) tend to be creators of our own problems and we (everybody) tend to have the answer for our own problems. Fact is, the baby boomers who started the Civil Rights movement are egotistical maniacs, who want all the glory for themselves and haven't tried to create leaders of subsequent generations---they still live in the 1960s This has lead to more of a victim mentality, which has permeated other populations and cultures. |

Good point, but it's sad to see a lot of so-called leaders of the black community are doing things for their own interest and not looking forward to educate nor give a fuck about anything related to what African Americans need to do for their future....I'm afraid the problem lies deeper than that.....if education and achievements are called "sold out" then we have a problem here...the ancestors would have been very dissapointed to see that the very thing they fought for their people is not VALUED......I'm sure a lot of black people called Pres OBAMA "Sold out"....Cornell West and Tavis Smiley can't stand Obama. they said he's not doing and hasn't done anything for black people.....well, Hopefully black people should realize that this change they've been waiting for starts with them and stop seeing education as a second option. the NAACP/UNCF can only do so much |
