Men often lie too.

Men often lie too.

I'd say men lie more in all honesty.

There is a big difference between a liar, a bullshiter and a delusional person.

A bullshitter seems to be what your describing, and I wouldn't even call it lieing, it's called being an entertaining character, as only the stupidest of people fall for it.

What's far more difficult to discern is a person thats lies versus a person that is delusional. The line is typically paper thin, and it really takes good detective work to discover the difference.

Our whole society is dependent on delusions and lies.

It's pretty much a sign one in mentally alright, one that lacks delusions or is too honest will likely suffer from clinical depression, or some anti social behavior issue.

When you have aspergers, lies and delusions become measure of a persons character.

What is getbig's experience with people who lie alot, lie about big and little things, make up stories about them selves and are just inconsistent about EVERYthing they say. I unfortunately know a character like this, lies about everything, just simply bullshits and makes up stories on the spot and they are always changing... i dont understand these people, can the wise men of get big share their knowledge and experience ??

Interesting topic.  I have found that most people who lie about what they've done or embellish events or have huge ego's are the ones who feel inadequate abut themselves and very insecure, these people never feel good eneough so they talk about themselves a lot and exaggerate everything in the hope that other people will think they are confident and secure.  These people are to be pitied simply because they dislike themselves and that's not an attractive trait.  You just need to distinguish these people from the ones who lie to cover up wrongdoing such as crime, affairs or to take advanage of you.  Decide where the liar fits and either pity them or get right away from them altogether.

sounds more like something that any mature person with their head straight does..... but if you want to call it "aspergers" , go ahead

6% of the population are apparently sociopaths.

It's creepy when you meet these people in real life and realise that they really do exist.

They feel zero remorse, everything is somehow justified, they are always right.
They are extremely narcissistic and live in their own created world of complete self-delusion and often it is even strong enough to convince others too.

Their brains function differently, they can be dangerous.

If coupled with charm and charisma, they are extremely dangerous.

They are manipulative and genuinely enjoy seeing suffering in others.
Outwardly they will be your best friend and cultivate an image of being good/sweet/caring but this merely a smoke-screen for them to hide behind in order to hurt people even worse.

This is how they get their kicks, they like to see suffering in others.

Avoid at all cost.

you are confusing the sociopath with the super dangerous psychopath. socio's are everywhere and aren't nearly as sophisticated as you are saying.

The whole sociopath thing is exaggerated.

Narcissitic, delusional, or self absorbed people are all just as bad.

I knew a guy like this.  One day I was out the front of my house moving my 600lb boulder around and waiting for my monthly $2000 sushi grade fish delivery and I asked him if he knew anything about who shot out my windshield.  He denied it so I reminded him that it took an entire SWAT team to make me 3 minutes late walking home from the bar because I'm a security dog snapping polymath who eats just one plate of Jamaican food every third day, and if he didn't fess up I'd deadlift him 112 times.

I knew one in high school - he also broke into my friends home and stole his mom's panties.  We called him "psycho".

My next door neighbour is one - would not trust him as far as I could kick him, IN ANY WAY.  His overall nature is also disgusting.

That's true.

The whole social media thing is fueling a new type of narcissistic personality disorder.
