Essentially, the police officer assaulted a civilian, someone who is giving a bit of lip to a Police officer doesn't give them the right to assault someone. If this was the case, I would have beaten down many a smartarse in my travels. This is why communities everywhere need a Christopher Dorner in their midst, keep those fuckers honest.

I disagree....he approached an officer in a threatening manner and he rightfully deserved to get smacked the fuck up. You never know what people are intending to do and I would have....and have done the same thing when inmates pulled that "gangsta" shit with me

He deserved that ... He was posturing up on the police ... It's only the uk that allows people shoot their mouths off to figures of authority with no consequence

Wtf? what do everyone mean "stepped up?" he stood perfectly still the entire time maybve one tiny step when the marine had Already gotten in his face.. Cocky and disrespectful yes.. But he marines excuse for slapping him was false.. he didn't get in anyones face.. If the police can't stay calm in that situation he shouldn't be a police to begin with. Just mentioning he was a marine would probably calmed the situation down just fine.
