I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Lean, unpretentious film. I hope they make it a trilogy.

I actually liked it as well.
Not much fluff... Simple premise, but it worked.
I have found myself recently becoming a fan of Urban.

Perfect movie, simply because there was none of the typical bullshitting. Shoot first, then ask. Certainly one of the better movies I've seen recently (I'm not watching a lot, but still). Right up there with The Raid, which is a fucking laugh riot.

The guy nailed Dredd. It takes a good actor to play a character that doesn't remove his helmet. Urban did the thing with the mouth, used a raspy voice and didn't move much and that was it.

All killer, no filler. Loved it. Never saw the Stallone one, never read the comic books. I think it's the best action film I watched this year along with Total Recall remake.
Loved seeing that chick who plays Cersei from Game of Thrones in this. I would break it off in her.

x3, I also find myself being very impressed with Urban, he's really pretty talented. Liked him in Red and Star Trek as well.

I've watched it on the airplane recently and was also pleasantly surprised. Thought it was one of the best action flicks of recent years actually.
Liked it better than the original one with Sly.
