There's a depressing story behind that poster of Gragam and the tiger, but I can't remember it.

Funk?

graham actually owned a lion in real life used to take it to bars and around to scare people but that's another story.the story behind the tiger poster is that graham sunk a ton of money into making and distributing the poster and pretty much no one bought it, at a time when he was asked to invest money in gold's gym before it took off.

Wow, and he was by then a former champion? Did he honestly believe that poster would make more money than "a" gym, much less a very popular (at the time) gym?

It must suck knowing you could have owned a share in what became the most famous gym chain ever.
