I thought rolling the bar on deadlifts was allowed in all powerlifting federations?  I've never seen a rule disallowing the roll, and I know the IPA does allow it. It does sometimes get looked at a tiny bit more to make sure of no false starts at the start of the pull. Benni with out the roll would just be sad  .

I thought rolling the bar on deadlifts was allowed in all powerlifting federations?  I thought it was a false start. I know we got reds for it when we did it in WABDL, USAPL and IPF. Can't remember if it's a rule, but they did foul for it.
