it would be pretty lame if the Governor just disappears from the plot.

Yeah, but it's realistic though.

In real life, the leaders of the battle retreat and let their men die.  They hide out for a few months with rations.  Maybe they come back, maybe not.  I think that part of it was believable... Gov and his crew high tail it out of there.

ALthough why he didn't return to woodbury, that was a little baffling?

It's obvious he'll return.  We just don't know when.  Michonne and he will fight.

It was weak, nonetheless.  A whole season built up to a confrontation that didn't happen.

i reckon it's because all that was left there was old people and kids who he really doesn't care about lording it over, not the same kind of power.

low budget soap opera.. at least that annoyng kid manned up  stark style and killed an unarmed peasant

I still don't think the kid killed an unarmed person. The old dude and the kid asked him to drop the gun. He turned the gun sideways but kept walking closer to the kid. So he got shot. I'd bet a lot of cops would have done the same thing in real life.

I would have shot him too. He was acting shady....should have dropped it, not tried to lure a kid half his size into striking distance. Carl was 100%   justified.

I think it was a lose lose situation. Had he dropped it right away, no drama.. either the kid was trying to stall in order to try and get an advantage to shoot them, or he was holding on for no damn reason other than to get shot. Since it was a kid who probaby wasn't a hardened killer, it makes more sense that he would drop it, especially if Carl had the drop on him anyway. Another example of how the shows director made it a sloppy situation.

While I think Carl certainly has issues, in this instance, it's hard to get too upset with him shooting. The guy hesitated, held on to the gun when told to drop it even though he was going through the process of attempting to drop it ( it must have been super glued to his hand and he was too embarrassed to say it) he wasn't dropping it. The guy did come to the prison to kill them after all

kid came and shot at them to kill, wouldnt throw his gun down instantly, everyone has trust issues so his hesitation sealed his fate, tough shit.

Yeah, I thought about that.  He was inching to Carl slowly like he'd try to grab his gun when he passed him the rifle. Either he dropped it instantly, or I would have wasted him.  Fuck Herschel!  He's no Dale.

And if I was Carl, I'd say to Rick, I'm 10 years old and my wing man was 100 years old with one leg. Anyone bigger than me coming at us with a gun is going to get shot. End of story.

if you are an invading force....

and you are caught dead to rights at 10 feet...

and you are lucky enough to be ordered to drop the weapon...

you thank them, drop that weapon fast, and lie down on ground without being asked again lol....

Moving closer to the guy with gun "Here, take it from me" would get you capped in real life too.

It was intentionally ambiguos, they want the viewer to think how Rick wound have reacted, probably would have tussled with the guy and almost got himself killed, like he did with Morgan. Carl just shot the fucker.

when the show ends in 2 or 3 or 4 seasons...

it'll be Carl being the last man standing... watching over his little sister... as the rest of the team has all died out, the zombies are killed by starvation, and they start the world over.

His sister needs to die just like she does in the comics.

they said baby judith will have a much larger role next season.

I wonder... they said the zombie would starve, but they didn't say how long that'd take.  Will that be the natural ending to the show?  zombies just start falling down one day, slowing down, etc?   i mean, the well-fed ones would last a little longer... but in terms of simple energy, they have to run out of steam eventually.

Why in the hell did they go back to the shotup prison in the first place? Why not get everybody to Woodbury and live in a normal town with a normal envirement? Everything is there like food weapons and all the rest they could have need....
