Sad to see him go, Rooker is a great actor, and the dynamic between him and Daryl is very good. But Rooker has tons of movie commitments, so it sorta makes sense that he'd only be a cast member for a short time.

Impossible.  The fans will RIOT when they kill off Darryl.  I bet he will make it to the last 2-3 episodes/show finale.

I've heard it's the boy Ben, that was in Tyreese's group. Certainly possible, I've heard a ton of spoilers the last few days, if true, the face of the show will change by a good bit.

"Shane" was an awesome actor, I didn't like it when he died. I agree "Merle" had a lot of potential.

after seeing the way they marginalized merle, I figured this was coming.  Also this will send Daryll off the deep end and have him become a more evolved and explosive character.  He was almost normal for a while.

They HAVE to kill off one major character in the final 2 episodes, in order to have people talking.  They can't just waste the governor (which I assume will happen), then go on as normal.  

My prediction is like some major fire starts with the battle, drawing a bunch of zombies and destroying everything.  They HAVE to leave the prison.  That place is boring now.  Take it back to the city... horses and tanks and all that fun stuff!
