I've always said that the biggest crock of shit is gauging your protein intake by body weight.

It should be according to lean body mass (muscle.) Otherwise you are allocating a decent sized portion of those grams to body FAT.

1g per lb of LBM is PLENTY, drugs or not in my opinion.

470 grams of protein per day. That's not high?

This is true. Gluconeogenesis is NOT a metabolically favorable energy system, compared to using glucose as a fuel source. But, excess calories, from any source, can and will  be stored as fat. The end result will be the same.

Where have you come up with this opinion? The more I read up and learn the more I'm convinced that even I could be eating too much protein, even at 250g a day or so, and I'm a competitor as well. I'm just not finding anything that says 2g/lb of BW is necessary for optimal gains, let alone is the safest way to grow to your max potential.

Just my opinion based on what I've read...I'd like to hear yours as well.

My workout buddy just dropped $5k for a year of coaching with Farrah. Kid is a tank, 6', 250lbs lean in the offseason. Contrary to the GH15 camp, the drug protocol was basically the same as his other coach, as he said "you can't reinvent the wheel, keep it basic!" First thing Farrah did was drop his protein by 30%! Said its completely unnecessary. My buddy was eating 12oz meat at each meal, Farrah dropped it to 9. Farrah said Kai only gets 10oz when he's dieting!!!

9oz at each meal is still a shitload. He also said Kai takes in no more than 2gr. If Kai is walking around at 280 thats 560gr. I would never recommend any more than 1.5.

I kept saying this about protein too. Don't rely on 300g of protein, that's a myth which have been whitewashed by the supplement industry to be healthy.
