I find the hardest part of dieting is actually figuring out what your maintenance caloric intake is.  What have you found to be the best way to determine this, basically find out a starting point for your diet?

It's very simple, once you get to where you want to be just add in a couple hundred calories every week or so and keep track of your weight.

Oh sorry, well I usually start everyone off with around the same amounts of food give or take. I've been doing so long I don't really count calories when I start someone off initially. Also as you may or may not know I am a fan of low to no carb dieting when it comes to getting one ripped. I basically stick to meat chicken turkey fish and eggs with some green veggies. Maybe start with 4 to 6 meals and keep track of your weight. Initially you will lose a lot of water the first couple weeks then your goal would be to lost about 2 pounds of fat per week. You would adjust your food intake accordingly to keep 2 or so pounds a week going.

No prob. When you do the no carb diet you really don't have to be strict with counting calories.

Ya i've known many guys who have that all or nothing attitude when it comes to dieting. Once you get super lean again, give the 4 days super strict, 2 days anything you want and 1 day water fast a try. It's actually very easy to follow and you'll never go over 10% again.

Ya I set up my day 5 to be on a friday. On this day I eat whatever I want and a lot of times gorge. By the end of the night I hate food and day 6 water fast day is pretty easy most of the day because of the gorging the night before. The hunger kicks in again by night time but I just tell myself, I can eat anything I want again tomorrow(day 7 sunday)...However on day 7 I make a point not to gorge. I do eat anything but in moderation.

And I'm still doing it.  I've admitted straight up that I've fallen off the wagon a few times, but I'm back on again.  Not gonna lie... I'm being an undisciplined pussy its hard.. but I'm still trucking!

How are you not hungry with 2000 calories... I'm eating 2500 calories and everyday I'm dreaming of just going and binging and stuffing my fat face at Dennys!  I don't do it - but its hard lol

try eating 700 cals like me, u get used to it, but you ll have to drink lots of coffee and smoke a lot of organic tobacco.
