Olympus Has Fallen = one of the most powerful movies of all time?

Saw this today after work and I honestly almost cried. It was really serious shit about Korea trying to invade the US (more specifically, the white house). It was a combination of complete utter badass, sadness, and just simply an incredible movie. Reminded me of the tv show 24. It's the kind of movie you will still think about in 20 years.

Anyone else see it yet?

Made a thread about it E section.  I liked it as it was very fast paced.  My beef was that it was like many other action movies in the points where it was 5 - 10 guys vs. 1  Hate it when they do that.  Other than that...not too bad of a flick.

True but Gerard Butler kicked some ass and it was pretty awesome.

Not surprised the least you enjoyed it considering how inconceivably dumb it looks.

Interesting concept. Where 25 years ago the only invasion movies were about the Russians and Cubans taking over the US in force (e.g. Red Dawn), now the most scary movie concept is a group of convenience store clerks taking over the white house.

What's next? A movie about an attack on the US, carried out by a guy with explosive underwear?
