not uncommon for weightlifters to lift balistically

but this guy is taking it to a new level


anyway, no matter how you do it, lifting such weights is going to take a heavy toll on the bones, joints, tendons etc

Even if you use the strictest form, squatting 700+ pounds for so many years WILL take a toll on your body. The human body was not meant for that type of lifting. Then again, I am sure there are guys who are perfectly fine with squatting so much weight. I guess it all depends on the individual person.

Person 2: is a vegetarian and marathon runner and dies of a heart attack at 30.

i saw an old ironmind video tape

"bulgarian training hall"


with a lot of legends (mostly dwarfs stacking plates all over the bar)

a lot of them squatted monster weights down in nearly slow motion, full pause at the bottom and exploded up

this seems more sensible to me


but it is definitely common among elite weightlifters do do them suicide squats like in the OP

they say it trains them to use the bar whip... but at what cost....
