So Antoine was doing his tour as scheduled, and we last spoke in late september / early october.
I helped Antoine and the guys kick off their tour by creating their poster and such, also getting Antoine some of his old artwork as I believed he was slowly getting merchandise (t-shirts) ready for his tour dates. We briefly talked about him giving me a call when the tour came by Montreal (Quebec).
On october 20-21 I saw pictures on social media that he was at Atomik Nutrition, and close to where I live but sadly he never contacted me. I don't hold it against him I just wonder if he was already going through a rough patch then? The fact that he didn't give me a heads up 2-3 days before that tour date, or even the day of was probably an indication of something going wrong. Last I heard he was supposed to go back to California and hang out with friends down there (Callum Von Moger, Frank Mc Grath, etc) so I figured his no-show on social media for a few days following the Qc tour date was related to travel?
I can't confirm or deny what you guys have been saying on this thread regarding his absence, but having seen Antoine "go missing" a few times now, and recognizing the pattern, I can say it's almost certain this is what happened. The tour is sort of continuing with the rest of the guys (as I see on FB). The complete halt of posting on Antoines social media outlets... I can say without even having to dial his # and reach a most likely full voicemail inbox, that Antoine is probably seeking treatment again, as i've seen this pattern for the 3rd time now.
I just don't want anyone here to suspect the guys he was around (Regan, Dorian, Noah)... These guys are all straight shooters and do not have a shred of fucking around in their system. To the contrary I was actually happy they would be around Antoine so much with the tour because they'd help keep him and his potential impulses in check. I guess something got the best of Antoine and he went off course. My suspicion is the Quebec visit for the tour (or something shortly before that) triggered some old behavior.
I know coming to QC bothers Antoine because of the people he knows (mostly negative influences) and he tries to avoid running into them or coming here all together. People here are a little too friendly with Antoine and are ready to hand out illicit substances at the drop of a dime, and party and do stupidities. Most people who have the access to the endless drugs are people with money, who likely sell it, and they don't have to really go to work from 9-5 so partying for days on end ain't out of the norm. Not to mention the countless after-hour clubs in MTL and the fact that AV is known all too well in those circles. I can't confirm that Antoine ran into his rough patch here in Qc, but it certainly did not help if you ask me. I haven't seen Antoine in person since the filming of the Universal comeback series which is coming up on 2 years now, but i'm really not mad that he didn't call me when coming to town. He has bigger issues to deal with now unfortunately.
Being clean and sober is rarely a 1 shot deal, and I wish him all the best.
