Easy way to tell someone has been sucked into the "program" too much is when they have to base every tiny decision they make in life down to how it affects sobriety.

And taking advice from most of these people is akin to going to some stranger to ask life advice because he has not had a cigarette in 5 years

I rank the whole thing up there just under the Church of scientology

Very good post.  AA and other sobriety programs are all cults.  The people who run these programs know addicts are mentally weak and they prey off them... just like preachers you see on Sunday morning tv.

I hate AA/NA...

1% follow through all the 12 steps! 1%!

That shows you right there it doesnt work.

Addiction is a neurological problem that cant be cured with talking. You need the right type of medication for your type of addiction. That combined with theraphy will make a great difference.

But to think all medications are bad for you is just retarded.

If 1% follow all 12 steps then maybe thats why it isnt working.

In my experience, just as u said...not many people really commit themselves to finish the steps. But the ones that do have a far higher success rate than any type of therapy/drug that ive ever seen.

He doesn't look well.  He's carrying way too much mass and he sounds as if he can only get out a few words before he has to breath.  I'll never understand why guys chase the 300 pound mark.

Because they had real jobs and bodybuilding was just a hobby.

Do you think we will get to see him shrivel like AIDS victim because he gets sick from a "hereditary" disease, or will he just die on the spot  Piana style?

Damn, sorry to see that. Was looking forward to seeing how he did at The Toronto Pro after doing so well last year. Hopefully not too bad a tear and it doesn't derail him too much.

Looks like a full rupture but hard to be sure without a scan.

He was going to do NY too.

he needs to be watched closely by the people around who actually care about him and not the bodybuilder.  with his past addiction issues dealing with this could cause a relapse.
