there's a difference between having political views and performing terrorist acts. i won't sit here and say i disagree with everything he said, but i'm not going to go out tomorrow and kill innocent people. they don't deserve it, no matter how corrupt the system is. the founding fathers preached that armed revolt should be a LAST RESORT against tyranny, and only to be used when the political system has failed. the dude was a terrorist, regardless of his political leanings. surely even a dingus like you can wrap your head around that.

I can appreciate that, but there is a time Mcveigh would have said the exact same thing.  So one has to be concerned about any ideology that can nurture such extremism.  What does it take for someone to go from such a conservative position as you currently hold to the more extremist position of a McVeigh?  The Gun Culture can create the ideal environment for extremists to form and develop their ideas.

I don't think any ideology can be taken to an extreme.  I think that's an absurd suggestion, and one that is used disingenuously to protect ideologies more likely to produce extremists.  And most rational people aren't drawn to ideologies that are more likely to lead to extremism.  They just aren't.
