FBI announces arrest in ricin case

WASHINGTON — The FBI said Wednesday it has arrested a Mississippi man "believed to be responsible'' for mailing letters that tested positive for poisonous ricin to President Obama, a senator and another official.

Paul Kevin Curtis was arrested at his home in Corinth, Miss., the FBI said.

Curtis is "the individual believed to be responsible for the mailings of the three letters sent through teh U.S. Postal Service which contained a granular substance that preliminarily tested positive for ricin,'' the FBI said in a statement.

The White House and Capitol Hill were on alert after initial tests Wednesday showed that suspicious letters contained ricin, a deadly toxin.

As federal authorities investigated the letters to Obama and Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., several other senators reported that they, too, had received suspicious mail. The reports prompted U.S. Capitol Police to close portions of two congressional office buildings for a brief time.

They are also saying they saw a guy throw a bag in a garbage bin and he's their suspect   The guy could have just thrown garbage in the garbage bin but hey...

What blows my mind is how the media sensationalizes all this little by little like a drama.

I also read today that last year alone in canada we had around 185 bomb threats. I do know for a fact where I work around here we even had a bomb threat and a bomb squad had to come by and clean up! Insane! Where I work is the main toronto area SWAT police division, they have a shooting range, etc.... just on my way to work 7 tahoes one after the other flying. It made me curious what was going on, nothing in the news on it, then I ran across this article published today about bomb threats in Canada. Why is it not in the news? Because it's not some brown guy or arab guy and it's not about americans.

Yup and this is why I hear from people who are not even Muslim or Arab that say that America deserves whatever it gets (Canadians, Europeans, Asians, South Americans, etc...). Hell I've heard from Americans' own mouths saying all the weather catastrophies, earthquakes, fires are a wrath from God for all that the American government does to the rest of the world. If they are helpless to retaliate they say, God is retaliating for them. I remember watching one video clip of an Iraqi mother who lost her entire family, scuffling through rubble... her husband, children, grand children, everyone dead.
