You have a big heart, this much I know. That's why I don't stay irritated for long because how can I, when you do it with the best intentions.

I actually know of three guys I worked with in the past three years that have died from heart attacks working out. The age range was 44 to 54. Two of the three were in fantastic shape.

At some point you have to realize you're not bullet proof. Youth gets away with using bodybuilding drugs and shooting who knows what is really in the vial with a syringe. Health is never thought about. When you get into your 50 I hope health is a major consideration concerning training.

Like you Prime I enjoy this site. It makes me laugh but it also makes me hope this isn't a representative of what the youth of today is like. Bodybuilding is a real sub culture of a sport that does tend to interest some misfit people. If you ever doubt this walk through the Olympia expo and tell me you didn't drop into a freak show of fans.

I was just thinking....not to be morbid, but I am old compared to most folks on Getbig. I  think some folks here view me as  if I am something like a Pedo playing in the kiddies sandbox (flame on).

What I wondered was, do I make a difference? Do I bring something valuable to the Getbig  forums? If I died tomorrow, would any of you give a rip? Of course, you probably would never know because I would simply disappear from these forums. Clearly, I have no claim to fame like, say, Nasser or some others who have passed and are either remembered or ridiculed here.

Before you all jump on this like flies on shit, keep in mind everyone either gets old or dies young. I am not dying BTW, in case you were hoping I was. Still, my remaining time in this life could certainly be a lot shorter than some folks here. I am not looking for sympathy....everyone dies sooner or later. I accept my fate and I am not looking for preferential treatment. So please do not cut me any slack as I suspect you won't.

Perhaps I am just having a moment of melancholia. Like most folks, I would like to believe I made a difference to someone, somewhere. I know I will be missed by my family and friends, but will I be missed in any larger sense. Before you kill me with your responses, I hope you will give this some thought, because there but for you, go I.

Yes you do! You will be missed Primeromo.

We don't have many that bald old (ancient) dudes left here on GB!

Of course you make a difference with your all too serious posts, almost never cracking a joke where you you never follow-up on an infantile joke with a typical Getbiggian response such as Hope this Helps, Meltdown, Outed, Gayer than etc..

You have your own special style!

I don't think anyone is missed by this place. It's very organic and adapts to change every well. I would mourn your passing though, genuinely.  I feel your taking the counter-view is sometimes disingenuous . I think you add a lot to the place.

you've heard of Dr. Kenneth Cooper, right? he was the "running/aerobic guru" form the 1970's and 80's that told everybody to run, run, run and about 15 years ago or so he basically said something like this... "anyone who exercises for more that an hour or so per week, is not doing it for health reasons"

he said this after he "discovered" that these "health nuts" that he knew (guys who ate very clean diets and exercised nearly everyday) were dying at relatively young ages from heart attacks and cancer, and he attributed this to "over-training"

Thanks Booty and Willie, I have been through a lot of shit in the last ten years or so along with my wife and 2 daughters! Since before we got married She lost her father to stomach cancer, my mother died of Alzheimers, my father died but just missed his 90th birthday by 2 weeks! And of course my brother! Also other issue's that have happened along the way! Not to drone on and bring everyone down. My point is enjoy life and don't take anything for granted cause it can change in an instant!

Exactly Ronnie, my dad died 2 years ago, after being in a Nursing home for 5 years. You never know when you are going to go down.

Prime, how old are you? I am 54 and have cheated death many times over. I rarely think about death. When I do I welcome it. Not being morbid but I deal with severe back pain ever minute so that is my reasoning. I know I won't be missed here when i am gone. Unless I start a thread about how good kings are. ;D

I am 68 and in great health. I recently started having problems with sciatica caused by degenerative disk disease (basically arthritis). Sciatica is a pain (literally) sometimes. Other times, it isn't too bothersome. People don't die from sciatica. Not sure I have ever cheated death like you. That must be a scary proposition.

Vince Basille would be at the funeral in a heartbeat...

That being said I had 2 best friends die one after the other 1 year apart both 23 and 24 , then my mom passed a year later from cancer. All happened in a span of 3 years

U never know just enjoy and move on , no time for grudges and Internet battles/bickering

The older one gets the more likely it is that they have experienced the death of friends and family. Still, it must have been difficult to lose two friends and your mom in such a short time period.

I wonder how Vince's arm workouts are going?
