Claims he slept with 12 prostitutes and did a full bag of shrooms in Holland.

Funny thing is, for the first time in his life he's probably not lying.

Excellent picture by Arce..

Let's be fair though, it's hard to believe that Dave would be so inclined to throw stones while living in a glass house.

Dave was renowned in the New York City area for selling fake Growth Hormone to both friends and local IFBB and NPC competitors. I have many friends that worked out at Steel Gym that fell victim to his bunk products. He also isn't a stranger to selling garbage products by way of his own line of supplement line.

So regarding him slinging shit, it seems a little odd since he has enough skeletons in his closet. ether, if you would be so kind, please post a link to said accusations in order to verify those comments. I've spoken to Dave before and he has never badmouthed Victor in front of me. Maybe it's because I am friends with Victor or maybe it's because he was civil towards him in the past. Either way, a link showing said comments would be helpful.

Regarding Victor... I know Victor personally. I was there on that very night when Victor's gym closed down. I was there when one of his best friends (Rudy) got the call to turn off the music and pull down the gates on that gym. I saw the people rushed out of the gym and I spoke for a few hours afterwards with his other close friend (Dean) about the entire incident and it was certainly not a classy or respectable move.

That said, what NONE of you know is that Victor was NOT the sole owner of that gym. There was another owner, a female (who was his girlfriend at the time). I won't say her name out of respect for both Victor and the young lady. Most of the financial decisions that took place at the gym fell under her command. Victor wanted to offer clients a great gym with all the amenities that a big chain could offer, but at a substantial discounted rate. His partner felt that he did not understand the dynamics of owning a business like that of a gym. Their landlord was also very pushy and kept raising their rent every 6-months and demanded many things, of the which Victor felt were uncalled for.

Push came to shove and Victor (mainly under the guidance of his business partner/co-owner) had no choice but to close shop, due to the ever-increasing rent, hassle with the landlord and profit figures which showed that they would hit the red before year's end.

I do NOT agree with members having paid for a 6-12 month membership up to the last week before closing. I think that was NOT classy and also very unprofessional. Remember though, Victor was offering yearly gym memberships at $125. One-hundred-and-twenty-five dollars for an entire year!! The average New York Sport's club charges you $80 monthly with an annual contract and an initiation fee (typically around $50 or more), Victor did not demand contracts (or you would have had a mob of former members suing him left and right). So, if he made out with any member's money, it was around the tune of a month's worth per every member that had signed up in that last month. Still, it is wrong, that was his mistake and he has suffered for it substantially.

In my talks with him further down the road, he had wished he could have given the money back to the members.

I'd like to hear Melvin Goodrum's take on the Muscle Maker grill, as I was also around when he ventured into that business and know pretty well what went down, but I am assuming Melvin has some insider information that he wouldn't mind sharing with us and, due to such, I won't spoil it...

He said it on HMR and his "TV" show-

While comparing notes with Singerman about their mushroom experience he said that he ran into Victor in amsterdam and that he did them amongst other things until Singerman warned him to stop talking about it.

Then on his TV show he said an IFBB bodybuilder "had about a dozen prostitutes and a bag of shrooms" in Amsterdam but that he would remain nameless.

Pretty obvious he is talking about Victor. Nothing shocking here (well known drug addict and womanizer) but pretty low on Scumbo's part to air his dirty laundry.

I can't believe people like Billy or the others don't spill the beans on this creep already.

While I can believe the mushrooms comment (Fair enough), unless Palumbo directly mentioned Victor having gotten down with those 12 prostitutes, it is merely hearsay for now.

There are many IFBB pros that could have gone along for that trip or already been there at that time.

That said, assuming it was indeed Victor, the key things to question is:

(A) Do you really think any man, Victor included, has the testicular fortitude to truly get down with 12 prostitutes?

(B) Is Victor married or taken at the moment? (If not, he can have sex with 12 male prostitutes for all I care - actually, I would prefer that instead  ;D )

AND

(C) You know, as well as everyone else, that Palumbo will say anything for publicity and spotlight.

If Rabbi Singerman confirms said comments, then we will take it from there, but until then, I know even Palumbo would deny the correlation, so we should give Victor (and his penis) the benefit of the doubt.

Victor's landlord from his gym never raised the rent more than most normal landlords and while he was not the sole owner...he called the shots and made the decisions for the place.

As far as the "Muscle Maker Grill is concerned, Victor was at best a minority owner in the franchise if not just a representative.  Muscle Maker Grills are quite popular and make a ton of money because its actually a combination healthy food restaurant as well as a nutritional supplement store.  I believe he was mostly a representative for that particular business because I find it hard for him to lose a franchise one month after being arrested because it would not have affected revenue....especially since Victor didn't cook the food or have any actual physical involvement in its operations.  So I call bullshit on the whole thing because those Muscle Maker Grills are very popular establishments

But honestly, you'll never get the real story when it comes to Victor....by his own admission and actions over the past few years, he's not someone that I would trust too much or associate with

Victor's landlord from his gym never raised the rent more than most normal landlords and while he was not the sole owner...he called the shots and made the decisions for the place.

Wrong on both counts.

My brother was part of his legal team at the time and the constant upping of rent (done illegally) was one of the reasons they had to give up the gym. They lost that fight in court, because Victor and his partner did not provide the funding needed to continue the representation, not to mention that they were backed up on rent payments.

He did not call the shots. His girlfriend and business partner at the time (the same woman who the gym's official bank documents where under, since her credit was the one used) was the person calling the shots. Victor, just like in the muscle maker grill, was merely a figurehead, used mostly for his name. He provided a very low down payment for start-up costs, making him a partial co-owner at best.

If anyone ever visited Victor's gym, they would have known of her level of ownership, since she ran everything in that gym. Right next to the front desk, immediately to the left hand side was a juice bar and behind that juice bar (up on the wall) was the documentation (FRAMED) that showed she was the legal owner of the gym.

She was also the person that would decide WHO was allowed to take pictures of Victor as he trained under Muņoz and what IFBB pros were given free passes into the gym.

This makes a little more sense, but there was still more involved.

In North Carolina, the rent can be raised to any rate after the contract expires....I suppose its different in New York....likely because in NC, people who have high rental rates don't last long.

In any event, it does not excuse the last day antics of selling lifetime memberships knowing that the gym was to be closed the next day.  Two wrongs don't make a right and Victor Martinez is just as responsible for it as well as anyone who knew about whether it was the personal trainers or even the fucking janitor.

Vic's still a scumbag in my book....although consider that Dave Palumbo went through someone's phone while they were asleep to dig up dirt of Kai Greene, the source isn't exactly an angel neither

They were NOT selling lifetime memberships Melvin. In what world would a gym sell a "lifetime" membership? You're simply asking to go out of business by the following month if that were the case, especially since the most expensive gym membership they sold was at $125 for the year. Those stories of lifetime memberships are fabricated tales, whomever told you that is simply lying, as Victor didn't even have contracts for his members. He had 6-month and 1-year gym memberships.. (Clearly, Victor and his partner had no business trying to open a gym, as neither of them had any experience in that realm)

Like I said, Victor was not the last word on what occurred inside of his gym. His partner (or true owner, since she owned 90% of the gym) was the driving force behind everything. Victor, like I said before, was merely but a figurehead, a name to bring in customers.

Regardless, selling memberships on the same day that they closed (that's how it happened, as I was actually there on the night the gym closed) is not appropriate and simply wrong. I spoke to Victor about that and told him that the incident could have very well cost him the opportunity of ever winning an Olympia, not to mention (most importantly) the respect of his community and peers. In that sense, he and everyone involved were wrong in their actions. The community believed in him and he let them down.

I do agree in that Dave Palumbo is a highly sketchy guy. I have many friends that purchased his fake Growth Hormone. Friends that were left with both empty wallets and bunk products.  I also remember speaking with Desmond Miller (prior to Desmond dropping Palumbo for contest prep) and Desmond mentioning that while Dave isn't a bad nutritionist/diet guru, the diets were cookie-cutter in nature and handed out to ALL of his athletes, all the while costing them a generous sum of money.

If you say so OMR, that's fine.  It appears that you know more about the gym thing than I do and I only went by what other members told me.

And yes, Dave does give out those cookie cutter Atkins diets to everyone...and even worse has other people doing it for him.  Anyone can do a no carb diet....its not rocket science.  I've never endorsed them because the majority of weight loss is usually from water weight and since muscle is composed mainly of water, it makes you look smaller...not to mention that it makes your workouts sluggish and unproductive

Yea...I got a bunch of stories as well about Dave...some good and some not so good.  I don't think Palumbo is that bad of a person....he just puts way too much trust into people who end up taking advantage of him and wanting to plunge a knife into his back.  But the best thing he ever did was to bump Aaron Singerman up to the No 2 guy......he puts in a lot more time, money than Romano ever did and he's good when it comes to sales and marketing.  Without Aaron, RX Muscle would have folded like a deck of cards already.

I agree that Aaron is more involved but that is only because he has to prove himself, he is a nobody and needs to keep his nose to the grindstone for awhile.  However, in time he will go back to his Singerways.

I don't feel Aaron is anything valuable to RX though.  When one drops off another one pops up, as it always will.
