the sad thing is this works . A girl i dated ended with me 3 weeks ago . Her ex was a psyko so she wasnt ready for something serius.  When she noticed i didnt care  and was suoportiv and niice (i dont want anything serious anyway)  shes called me eveyday and want ro spend time with me and my kid 10x more than before.

POF has been a complete waste of time for me. Joined there about 18 months ago and been using it on and off (more off than on) and in that time I've only managed to score about four dates.

Now if I do say so myself I'm a decent looking guy, good physique, own house, good job, etc but it just ain't happening. 99% of the girls I message just ignore me. I don't write anything pervy or creepy, just be nice and be myself really, no bullshit.

i'd say about 30% message me back.  i have almost nothing on my profile, and only two pics.  only advice i have is to keep it simple, and write something that is easy to respond to.  if you write a message that's too long or complicated, honestly i think a lot of times they would like to message you back, but just can't think of anything to say.  not the brightest bunch on POF...

maybe okcupid would be more your "crowd"?  generally it seems to attract higher-educated, somewhat more "serious" types than POF.  of course, i'm not sure if that's what you're looking for...

For a laugh me and a mate created a fake girl account on there and sent several desperate men to a house across the road to a neighbour we didn't like, was hilarious seeing them all turn up.

The girl we used was fairly decent looking but we were inundated with messages, literally couldn't read 70% of them due to the rate they were coming in at. There are simply too many sex starved men on the site and the chances are your messages aren't even getting read.

I don't believe the girls have very high standards and are waiting on their Brad Pitt, remember, if you're a semi attractive chick you're gonna get SWAMPED with emails! And they're many more males on POF then females so it's very easy to get over looked by a chick if she's getting 200+ emails a day.
I asked a few that I met in person ( who weren't even hot but just decent looking) and they couldn't believe the tidal wave of emails that came pouring in from guys.

Good advices - I haven't tried any other dating websites cos I'm a tight bastard and refuse to pay for the same rejections as I'm getting on the free ones  But yeah you're right - they don't come across as the sharpest tools in the box - most of them are into festivals and nightclubs and shit, stuff I'm just not interested in.

This is also true. I dated a girl a while back (I'd say she was a 6 at best) who showed me her phone and she was getting 20 messages from guys every single day. It's easy to get your own messages lost in there so it's no wonder you get ignored half the time.

I made a profile for a female friend, sort of as a joke (she was on board and told me to go for it). So I had her password, and would check her messages. I made her profile in the morning, and about 5 hours later, she had at least 35 messages. Granted, she is a very pretty woman, so it makes sense.  So yeah, getting lost in a sea of emails is definitely possible. I would not be surprised if some woman get closet to 50+ messages a day.

the best message you can send them is a sort of negative one saying its a pity(pick up something from their profile) or i would have asked you out
