I've debated powerlifters I've known that there is no such formula. I mean, you can create one, but it doesn't mean anything the moment a guy with a lower one rep max can out-225 you by quite a few reps.
There is a saying that you get good at what you do or what you practice. Another theory is that there are muscle fiber-type % differences in individuals.
Either way, IMO, formulas don't work, except maybe with your brothers.
