sure, its just that his 'rap' is no longer 'rap' and shouldn't really have that label anymore since it hardly resembles the genre.



it's hard to label mainstream nowadays since it's a mix of a bunch of stuff. might as well group it into it's own "contemporary" genre.

no doubt!

country is even fitting into that 'contemporary' genre now, very similar stuff thats all being played on the top 40 stations.

would it matter if say southern blues was called jazz? sure, it pisses some people off..

just stating the record labels have basically hijacked the name and turned the genre into something completely different for whatever agenda. it almost has more in common with modern country than it does with traditional rap music.
