TA, even without cops, do you think people would still be orderly and decent to each other? I mean, we are born with an innate principles for morals and social reciprocity.
The population is too large and resources too scarce for it to be feasible.

Certain countries are already like a post-apocalyptic wasteland with crime and murder out of control, imagine without police?  :-[

Okay, if you controlled for those confounding variables, then what? You think people would be able to control themselves?

Yes, it could work but society would become archaic because there wouldn`t be enough people pushing the buttons and pulling the levers.  The majority of time spent on earth for Homo Sapiens has been lawless anarchy and the proof that it worked at some point is the fact that you and I are now here discussing it.

So you are saying Christianity and religion in general fail epically at instilling any sort of morality.  ;)  Got it.
Shut your mouth heathen. Don't make this an issue about Christianity.

It's going to be fun when you die and realize what's in store for you. As a mere human you have no way of knowing if there is a creator or not. You are a spec of dust, a little cockroach. When you die your little filthy corpse will stink up the air just like a rat's.

Humans would have at least still had a tribal system with some kind of leader or elders and have some sort of basic rules for their group.

Exactly. In the old days families and communities took care of their own and that is how the law was enforced. The same way a male lion has to defend his pride. You don't need some unknown police officer for that. Most of the time police officers don't prevent any crime.

Yes, police presence is a deterrent, but in the absence of police the deterrent would be retaliation by the community.

The problem is not with obedience though, the problem would be when two tribes collide

Humans are not a solitary species, we only survived because we are social and cooperative animals.

Even with a police force there would be a problem when two tribes collide. It is pretty obvious that crime is still happening and a massive police presence has not stopped it.

Yes, but the point I'm making is that no matter if everything is in a state of anarchy, humans will still form groups and stay in groups for their own benefit, such as mutual protection or sharing resources, etc.

Groups fighting over a hunting ground, water or any resources would be a miniature version of 'war' for that groups own benefit.

Ok. Something may be in store for you  ;D

You are so over confident in your mocking of Christianity or any religion. I see no evidence that any human should take this approach. I concede - perhaps nothing happens when we die and we will just cease to exist as we were before being born. However I don't know this for sure because I am a mere human. Yet you on the other hand act like you know it all.

I only go on available evidence and fact.  I have no use for something that cannot be proven true.

The police is generally very good. I am often amazed that there even are people who sigh up for that shit.

the group is a remnant of humanity's primate past.  It stands in the way of the superior individual whom through all progress occurs.  This was the gift of the new world and the Bill of Rights.

I find most guys that hate cops are always somehow involved with them. Traffic tickets and getting arrested. Then they blame the cops for their trouble.

Another thing too. If you are arrested don't resist. Don't wave your arms around while you argue. Don't mouth off. If you are innocent take it to court. Trying to hold court resisting in the street while you are a drunken fool will get you hurt.

Thank you.....

Yes, lasting a full shift as a police office is definitely hard work. Good thing these police officers are in such great shape to last a full shift. You need athletic endurance and to be in awesome shape to last a full shift as a cop. You hit the nail right on the head. Not even the most muscular, in shape getbiggers would be able to last a full shift like the police officers below.
