I'm not calling for impeachment, I'm calling for removal.

ah, prosecute him for the crimes?  A president can pardon himself from ALL charges - any crime.  Except one:  IMPEACHMENT.

So we'd want him to be impeached THEN charged with whatever crimes.  But he can pardon himself while he's still in office.

I'm not a  constitutional attorney (obviously) but If he violation of abuse of power as well as treason, he can't do shit if an investigation is done and they find conclusive evidence. If they impeach, he should be removed..asap.

They can do an investigation but no findings will result in him being charged.  The prez is invincible against any charges filed at him while in office.

once he's OUT of office, they can charge him with anything and lock him up, although they probably wouldn't.

Obama has pardon power over himself for all crimes.  but he can be impeached - he has zero power to stop that.

Here's The Search Warrant Where The FBI Called A Fox News Reporter A 'Co-Conspirator' In A Leak Investigation
Brett LoGiurato

May 20, 2013, 12:42 PM|139|

New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza points out the "most chilling" part of the search warrant on Fox News reporter James Rosen during a 2009 leak investigation.

In an application for a search warrant, FBI agent Reginald Reyes wrote that there was probable cause Rosen had violated the Espionage Act by soliciting classified information from Stephen J. Kim, a former State Department official. Reyes wrote that Rosen was an "aider and abettor and/or co-conspirator" in leaking the information.

According to the search warrant, which was posted by the Federation of American Scientists, Reyes wrote that Rosen may have committed a "conspiracy to violate" section of a law against leaking classified info, which he wrote was "punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment."

Reyes also wrote that the FBI had exhausted all other alternatives in the leak investigation when applying for a search warrant, short of asking Rosen to voluntarily provide his email communications.

"Because of the Reporter's own potential criminal liability in this matter, we believe that requesting the voluntary production of the materials from Reporter would be futile and would pose a substantial threat to the integrity of the investigation and of the evidence we seek to obtain by the warrant," Reyes wrote.

The Washington Post brought renewed attention to the 2009 investigation with a report late Sunday night.

The report comes at a time when the Obama administration is facing renewed scrutiny over leak investigations, a week after the Associated Press said that the Department of Justice had obtained more than two months of some of its reporters' phone records.

Here is the full search warrant:

Unfucking believable.   The obama crime syndicate can't control its own leakers so they target journalists trying to report the news.

LOL....I take him about as seriously as I take gimmicks on getbig. Again, anyone who supports him show's a lack of morals, honesty and integrity. He doesn't just need to be impeached, the entire administration including Obama needs to be removed. If he was charged and convicted on even a quarter of the laws he has broken he would be spending his remaining days in prison. This is FACT!

Yeah.  Because all other POTUS have been shining examples of morals, honesty and integrity.

Report: Three Fox News Staffers Targeted By Justice Department
 Breitbart ^ | 5/20/13 | John Nolte

Posted on Monday, May 20, 2013 1:40:09

Fox News reports that three Fox staffers, two reporters and one producer, were targeted by Barack Obama's Justice Department. Fox doesn't have all the details yet on a reporter William La Jeunesse and producer Mike Levine, but their emails showed up in a IG report regarding Fast and Furious. Either their emails were leaked by the Justice Department officials they were sent to, or the email accounts of both were subpoenaed and invaded by government investigators.

The IG report does say that subpoenas were issued to obtain emails. Whose email was targeted is not yet known.

The third staffer is reporter James Rosen. The Washington Post's story behind that is downright chilling. What we have here is a case of the Obama Administration criminalizing reporting.

In June of 2009, James Rosen of Fox News reported that North Korea might respond to an increase in United Nations sanctions with even more nuclear tests. Rosen added that the CIA had learned this information from their sources within North Korea.

Here's Fox News' Scathing Statement On The Leak Investigation Into One Of Its Reporters

Brett LoGiurato|4 minutes ago|0|

Fox News Executive Vice President Michael Clemente has released a scathing statement on the leak investigation involving Fox News reporter James Rosen.

Here's the full statement:

“We are outraged to learn today that James Rosen was named a criminal co-conspirator for simply doing his job as a reporter. In fact, it is downright chilling. We will unequivocally defend his right to operate as a member of what up until now has always been a free press.”

UPDATE:

Fox News Reporter May Face Criminal Charges for Reporting on the CIA

PHILIP BUMP 9:33 AM ET

The government will use any and all information at its disposal to find journalist sources, as shown in The Washington Post's report this morning on a Department of Justice investigation into Fox News chief correspondent James Rosen, who may face criminal charges for reporting government secrets.

In June 2009, Rosen reported on CIA analysis suggesting that North Korea might respond to new UN sanctions with renewed nuclear tests. In order to determine how Rosen learned of the analysis, which had been issued by the CIA only a few hours prior, FBI investigators used every tool at their disposal: analyzing Rosen's security access card to determine when he entered and left the State Department building, studying his phone records, and subpoenaing his personal email.

Ultimately, agents determined the source of the leak was likely the State Department's Stephen Jin-Woo Kim. Rosen and Kim established a high-tech version of the red-flag-in-a-planter system used by Bob Woodward during Watergate: when Kim wanted to meet, he would allegedly send an email to Rosen's Gmail account containing an asterisk. Rosen detailed the sorts of things he wanted to discuss.

He also wrote, according to the affidavit: “What I am interested in, as you might expect, is breaking news ahead of my competitors” including “what intelligence is picking up.” And: “I’d love to see some internal State Department analyses.”

According to the Post report, that's what Kim allegedly provided. And the way in which he did so appears to have been indiscreet. Their federally distributed security passes showed that Rosen and Kim left and returned to a building at the same time on the day of the leak. Kim's department phone records showed a number of calls between him and Rosen. When you work directly for Big Brother, you're likely to be caught.

Great point.

When thing like this go down and even the opposition side doesn't want to get down to the heart of the matter and do some real digging....you know they don't want their skeletons to be outed.

IRS stuff and trying to make the press not so free are pretty big deals....but the Republicans are just going to to take shots through the media and do the same old, tired "Hearings!" and then get away as soon as possible. Score the points, do the damage but don't really dig any deeper.

It really is a different world in D.C., a real Good Old Boys Club. Gotta keep the status quo and stay in office, doing your actual job may prevent that.

The Impeachment Option
 Jason Chaffetz raises the prospect.

Representative Jason Chaffetz, a Utah Republican, says President Barack Obama may face impeachment over his administration’s response to the Benghazi attack.

UGH.   I hate seeing things like this.  There are MANY things you cut before embassy security.

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) acknowledged on Wednesday that House Republicans had consciously voted to reduce the funds allocated to the State Department for embassy security since winning the majority in 2010.

On Wednesday morning, CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien asked the Utah Republican if he had "voted to cut the funding for embassy security."

"Absolutely," Chaffetz said. "Look we have to make priorities and choices in this country. We have…15,000 contractors in Iraq. We have more than 6,000 contractors, a private army there, for President Obama, in Baghdad. And we’re talking about can we get two dozen or so people into Libya to help protect our forces. When you’re in tough economic times, you have to make difficult choices. You have to prioritize things.”

For the past two years, House Republicans have continued to deprioritize the security forces protecting State Department personnel around the world. In fiscal year 2011, lawmakers shaved $128 million off of the administration's request for embassy security funding. House Republicans drained off even more funds in fiscal year 2012 -- cutting back on the department's request by $331 million.

You don't think staffing the embassy with a dozen add'l armed guards might have helped that day?

No denying ANY extra hands on guns that day would have helped.  My point is that the tea party congressman were just way too "trigger happy" with comments without knowing the full potential ramifications.   "Shut it down!" and "Prioritize the embassies!" without really thinking it thru.

this doesn't explain Cheffertz' statement.

NOW i see why he was the first and LOUDEST voice with the "impeach obama over benghazi!"

He was screaming about cutting funding to protect the embassies.  Bad thing to support.

Another blatantly misleading liberal talking point.  His vote had nothing to do with reducing security in Benghazi.
