I prefer authentic over 'marketing artists', and I'm not a fan of huge crowds anyway ;)

SBTRKT (pronounced "subtract") is the musical project led by Aaron Jerome. SBTRKT has remixed songs by artists such as M.I.A, Radiohead, Modeselektor, Basement Jaxx, Mark Ronson, and Underworld, and has released singles, EPs, and two albums. His music has been playlisted by BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music.

SBTRKT also has performed live with frequent collaborator Sampha. The live show to 2012 consisted of Jerome utilizing electronic and acoustic drums, synthesisers and effects with Sampha playing two keyboards and singing.

Jerome uses the project's title rather than his own name in order to support the concept of anonymity. Jerome has explained "I'd rather not talk about myself as a person, and let the music speak for itself. The name SBTRKT is me taking myself away from that whole process. I'm not a social person, so having to talk to DJs to make them play a record is not something I want to do. It's more about giving them a record as an anonymous person and seeing whether they like it or not. If they play it, they play it."

To further support SBTRKT's anonymity, SBTRKT wears modern interpretations of native society ceremonial masks designed by A Hidden Place.

Palm Skin Productions specialize in darkside dub excursions, heavy on the downtempo breakbeats, jazzy flourishes and gut-bucket percussion. It's all the work of one Simon Richmond, though occasional collaborator Chris Bowden often appears on saxophone. Richmond first worked as a percussionist for the Talkin' Loud label's in-house session team K Collective, working on tracks by Jhelisa, Neneh Cherry and D*Note. He began recording as Palm Skin Productions in 1994, and appeared on the 4th & Broadway compilation series Rebirth of Cool with the track "Spock with a Beard." Richmond followed with two 1996 singles for Mo' Wax Records, "Like Brothers" and "The Beast," then moved to Hut for his debut album Remilixir. He has also remixed Galliano, Global Communication, United Future Organization, D*Note and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.

Motionless in White (sometimes referred to by the acronym MIW) is an American metal band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. Formed in 2005, the band consists of Chris Motionless (lead vocals), Ricky Horror (rhythm guitar), Devin "Ghost" Sola (bass), Ryan Sitkowski (lead guitar), Josh Balz (keyboards), and Vinny Mauro (drums). The band has stated that their band name derived from the Eighteen Visions song "Motionless and White".

Tommy Noble is an electronic music duo from the Central Coast of California. They have had a whirlwind year since their first tracks released Summer 2011, smashing the Beatport charts from the get go after a flurry of offers from dance music's biggest labels. Their tracks quickly caught the attention of the whos who in EDM, and in the time since then they have shared the stage with: Tiësto, Steve Aoki, Dirtyphonics, Porter Robinson, Datsik, Mord Fustang, DallasK, Dada Life, Bart B More, PeaceTreaty, Wolfgang Gartner, Le Castle Vania, Spencer & Hill, and more.

Pioneering the « nu-disco » sound, years long before that kind of sound started to invade the worldwide indie charts, Laurent ASH aka LIFELIKE’s early productions (« Black Chess » EP on the legendary “20000ST” record label) soon pricked the ears of the likes of DJ Falcon and Thomas Bangalter (from Daft Punk), and playlisted his record during their "Together 2002 tour", which if you’re a young Producer, is basically the equivalent of getting all six numbers in the lottery, finally introducing him very quickly into the very small but highly talented "French Touch" family.

I took a look on their page, but I'm not really a fan of typical mainstream club artists. I also prefer more variety, like the artists featured on Somafm's multiple channels, see www.somafm.com
