man, bambam, im somewhere since 5-6% bodyfat at all times and i get away with eating a terrible diet, cookies dipped into molten icecream etc, and not 1 cookie, but whole packages and a gallon icecream at once.

i do a day fasting after that and stay just as lean.

over and over again.

i could also eat one icecream along with every meal and stay in same shape if i just skip one regular meal.

maybe id look 1% better if i followed everything to the t, but so what.

my best diet to cut fat approach is to simply fast as long as possible, most radical but it works no doubt

you are an experienced bb, you use a lot of steroids and probably gets your macros straight, and you dont care about your health. in that case (which is more the exception than the rule), you can pretty much use total calories as your main guide.

A thought.. If you eat say 2000 calories in one sitting. You won't absorb 100 % of it right - some of it will pass through.

Also the body will use more energy handling it than eating closer to what you can absorb.

Aren't different calories easier or more energy demanding to absorb by the body?

Wouldn't those facts mean a calorie is not a calorie when it comes to digestion ???


Great point here, you sir get an A. The truth is if you ate 2000 calories in one setting ya the calories will go down your throat but not absorbed, depending on the person buy you may only absorb 1600 of those calories or less and you will have the runs for sure.

I know many women and a couple men that have metabolic damage/adrenal fatigue. They eat WAY below maintenance and can't lose a fucking pound.

A calorie is NOT a calorie.
If they are not losing weight then they are not eating below maintenance.

The very definition of  ''below maintenance'' is the number of calories that if you go below it you will start to lose weight

It's ok butter cup, you can believe whatever makes you happy, but there is no scientific backing in support of "metabolic damage".

People overestimate their caloric needs. They eat out of habit and feelings, rather than absolute need for fuel.

Plus, women are the last i would trust when it comes to accurately reporting calories, and most definitely would not take anything they say about "feelings" seriously.

This is simply not true. In fact I know of a guy who eats one meal per day of 2000 and has for years. Maintains good health and a weight of around 165.

Eating one meal is OK nothing wrong with one meal per day, who says there is? I simply said that when your body is use to eating 4-500 calories per setting then all of a sudden you throw in 2000 calories, all those calories will not be absorbed, you will get the runs and it will through you faster then your body can absorb the calories.

Of course in your friends case he will absorb all the calories because he is used to eating this way and his body has adapted.

I started to say the same thing, but was hoping someone else would chime in.  The IF crowd eats in the same manner and I do at times also.  Some days I just eat something very small when I get up-around 200-400 calories and then eat the rest at one time later on in the day.  I do this especially if I have all my food courses made in advance.  For instance, when I smoke a Pork Shoulder, have a cake baked and Coleslaw and baked beans ready to go.  Large feasts can really fill you up and satisfy you until the next day even.

Well I thought you were saying that if a person eats one meal of 2000 c then he would not absorb the food macros. Yes it may be true of what you are saying and it also have a lot to do with the kind of food too.
