Grew up with a dog, he died I was crushed....then military, single couldn't take care of one....now I think I'll always have at least one maybe two.

Cons...expensive, sheds, slobbers, chews up expensive furniture and molding...requires constant attention, clumsy, sock and shoe fetish, garden destroyer, huge piles of dogshit.

Pros....he's family.

Rotts.....great with kids.

This is the dog I wanted since childhood the Caucasian-Ovcharka but living in the south makes this impossible...the dog would be miserable.

both of ours have been great natured dogs that have been great with my 2 young kids. I know they can be hyper if not correctly trained ours were lazy and placid and just very loving and friendly

FYI....the Caucasian Ovcharka (Shepherd) has one of the strongest bite force of any animals example the Murican PitBull BF is around 250...a lions 670-720... The C Ovcharka 700+...... Just insane power

I do not. I had to put down my last chocolate lab due to diabetes and cancer at 7 years old. It crushed me so badly that I have not gotten another. I plan on retiring in about 8 years nd iwill definitely get one then. I travel for work a lot and I want to be home to train him and spend time with him.
