thats one serious advantage for SA... Almost a gift . Dont know the mechanics but why do they get so much homecourt advantage? Can someone in the know explain? Did they win more regular season games than the heat?

That's the NBA finals format, been like that for a long time.

Heat still have 4 possible games in Miami.

The NBA finals format is 2-3-2. Heat had the best record in the league, home court through out the playoffs.

that's the format of the NBA finals 2-3-2....that's why it's always good for the team that has home court to win your first two games......
